Karsta Lowe, born February 2, 1993, is an American volleyball player who was a First Team All-American at UCLA and, as a member of the United States women's national volleyball team, won the gold medal at the 2015 FIVB World Grand Prix and was honored as the Most Valuable Player and the bronze medal at the 2015 World Cup and the 2016 Rio Olympics. She has played professionally in Puerto Rico, Italy and China.
She played college women's volleyball at UCLA. During her career at UCLA she made the First Team All-American.
Lowe was a member of the United States women's national volleyball team which won the gold medal at the 2015 FIVB World Grand Prix and she was awarded Most Valuable Player and the bronze medal at the 2015 World Cup and at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics.
She last played professionally for the BAIC Motor Club, a Chinese senior women's volleyball team based in Beijing, during the 2016-17 season.[4]
As of 2019, she plays for Imoco Volley in Italy.

Lowe was the best. Hope she gets to go to Tokyo Olympic. USA will win the gold with Lowe attacking.

@@arozakid karsta can still make a comeback in USA WVT especially in the Paris Olympic, Thompson now is playing OH in vitra with that lowe now will have a chance to be on the roster of USA for World Championship. OH: Barstch-Hackley, Robinson, Thompson, Plummer OPP: Drews, Lowe MB: Washington, Ogbogu, Tapp, Dixon S: Poulter, Carlini L: Wong-Orantes, Courtney

USA has a problem with the lineup. I mean a Good problem. With their new players coming in we aren't sure who they will choose for the olympuc lineup. Drews and Thompson played well last year but now Thompson is playing OH in turkish which open another opportunity for lowe to take the spot for Opposite. Robinson played well last year when hill wasn't playing but hill played really well in her pro season better than the other 3 veterans, with Thompson playin OH will add more choices for the OH lineup. Foluke is continuing training in US gym and will comeback but new players like Ogbogu and Washington showing amazing performance last year with NT and club season? Adams also performing well this season. So, who's gonna make it to the final lineup of USA?!

And you have Mckenzie Adams now playing for conegliano as a OH now and I think she should be in the mix also.

@@alanus95 she should. She is playing well. Her form and style is similar with Hill. Very good with fast set which is the playing style of USA. not sure if kiraly already noticed her. But i think she is a great addition once hill, larson and mbh retire

I don't see them putting thompson outside...she played outside in college and was still playing outside in college when she first started playing for the national team, but yet they put her opposite, so I don't see them changing that. I don't see anyone taking drew's 's spot so she's pretty much locked. I am very interested to see how kathryn plummer does on the Olympic level...she improves by so much each year she plays and like Thompson played outside but is naturally an opposite hitter (whats with these tall girls and playing opposite? haha)

@@ajollypanda4175 plummer no chance for 2021 olympic dear. Where you'd want her? oh and OPP are locked. Plus she is good but still slow and can't jump. She is 6'6 dang if i have that height i can jump like eguno. I see Thompson playing OH after retirement of vets. I see plummer play OPP not OH.

Lowe, Murphy and Drew . Who is better OP for USA?

I'd go for Drews. She has a better arm swing compared to the other two. Karsta's contact with the ball is very low that's why she can be easily blocked. If she could improve on that she can be much more lethal.

Drews is a fabulous player but I still believe Karsta has (had) a higher ceiling out of the three but her aversion to playing pro/playing overseas (just like Murphy) is whats keeping (kept) her from reaching her full potential. Drews commitment to improving herself and finally stepping out of the shadow of Murphy can only mean good things for USWNT.

jeff sam totally agree Drews had a major improvement in her play since playing overseas and getting more play time when Karsta left the team. I think Karsta's playing overseas (Italy I think) already but she really needs more exposure to up her game.

I wish Karsta could play the way she did in the 2015 Grand Prix. She was a monster back then.

@@martinsalvdor1665 I dont know about that, I belive Lowe is taking another season off and wont be playing competetive again until the February launch of the (AUsportsvolleyball) American league. AFAIK she didnt sign with any pro team (anywhere) after her pretty succeful stint in Busto.
