Who said that LED projects end? Who said that we, the fanatics of LED projects end? quite the opposite. It's also good that you have sponsors. You deserve that and much more. The brightness of the LED's might become a problem particularly with the blue LED's. Would change the 4017 ic for a 74HC4017 ic. Not sure if there is a 74HCT4017 series for the provision of extra output current over the 74HC4017 series. Could use output transistors to act as current amplifiers further complicating the circuit. This would-be necessary for the normal 4000 series ic's operating at the lower voltage range as they tend to become sluggish with low frequency and output current capabilities.
