Orchids are my favorite flower, i very recently saw a still life painitng of a vase of orchids but it was very much out of my budget. I figured i would try to teach myself to paint and hopefully achieve such talent in the future. I am trying to follow your tutorial, however i do wonder and am lost immediately at where/how you get the sketch. There is not a tutorial on the outline for the orchids themselves.

Sure! While the tutorial may not cover sketching orchids specifically, you can find resources online for drawing floral outlines. Search for "orchid sketch tutorial" or "how to draw orchids" to find guides. Then, you can use the painting tutorial for techniques to bring your orchids to life on canvas. Keep practicing!
