I actually just finished a track with one of these chord ideas and will be showing it on the channel tomorrow (or today, depending on where you are, it’s 3am and I can’t sleep)

CAP0STATUZ not sure I can do a from scratch vid on melodic house as those productions take a lot more time than my DnB tracks. I certainly plan on doing a series where I showcase everything I’m doing while making a track though (like, a tutorial on drums, a tutorial on bass, etc)

Good morning young Man. This was my first time watching one of your videos. I was really impressed from what I heard today. Did all of the sounds you used today come from this Sylenth 1 instrument? Is it called a plug-in or just a Synth or what? It has a beautiful sound to it. You have made so wonderful chords and you have picked out some great sounds with this Sylenth 1. You have made me want to investigate this instrument and learn how to use the pre-sets. Would you please restate the name of the preset that you were using in making this video? I wish you continued success with all of your future videos and musical endeavors. I also wish you continued success financially as well. This was Very Good. I'm Not Bad as Chords and i sure don't know all of them or even how to read music. the first Progression is so silky. I'm working on a Streets of Rage (Sega Genesis Game) OST Mod for Streets of Rage 4 I have always wanted to make Music for Beat'em Up games and the SoR OSTs are AMAZING. I definitely can Manipulate these Ideas to fit that style. Thank You! (+1 Sub)

nice to see someone actually making PROG house chords, and not avicii style ones. titles are misleading. great stuff btw!

yep. Commercial House =/= Progressive House. I pretty much had to learn this stuff on my own because there weren't tutorials for this stuff when I started, all of the stuff labeled as progressive was just recycled commercial garbage that shouldn't have been labeled as chords.

would you be able to make a tutorial showing how you can make this progressive house chord in a synth from scratch please. for years I've always loved hearing the sound of this chord from producers such as Shingo Nakamura, Dinka, Soundprank, And many more. I've always been curious to know how to make it in a synth and not from a sample or preset.

Do you follow any music theory or just write the way you like it as long as it sounds "good" ? this was amazing!

I don't follow any music theory. It's only this year, the 9th year that I've been making music, that I have been considering learning some just as a way to knock my OCD off as that definitely has an effect on my writing. I also have some synesthesia from epileptic seizures that I had when I was younger that has resulted in me being able to visualise patterns before I even plot them into the piano roll or have my computer up. But to answer your question, it's a combination of going with what sounds good, and synesthesia. I think my OCD is a limiting factor on my creativity.

Sylenth sounds so damn good. Serum can’t touch the quality

Logic really wins the show with its built in ES2 synth. Serum is really good but mainly for special sounds. Sylenth is the best synth for all of your easy chord and pluck sounds.
