It's hard to leave a comment when you're at a loss for words!! This is just absolutely amazing! I'm so jealous of your palette papers. I actually just did something similar to this yesterday with a bunch of my gelli plate prints. I just "found" shapes that looked like flowers and leaves and cut them out and created a collaged vase of flowers. I've never done anything like that before and I had a blast!!! Now I'm going to have to start saving all of my palette papers, too!!!

Finding the signal in the noise is a skill that serves an artist well. Worth developing. Taking in the success of Tim Holtz’s Abstract Faces and Elements as well as various classes teaching makers how to do this, it is popular as well. Pareidolia is the term for finding meaning or images in amorphous data. I watched a few videos of yours today & quite enjoyed them. New subscriber 😊

I love these so much! I’ve been trying to think of ways to save extra paint and although I use leftover paint on tags and pages, I haven’t thought to put it on paper like this, allow it to dry and make flowers. Thank you for the inspiration! I will try this.

I think that is a really good idea. I hadn't thought of it. Thanks! I remember once I accidentally cut the stem off the floral so I drew a quick stem and leaves on book pages, cut it out and glued it down. The combination of the two was pretty cool. I'd forgotten about that until just now. Will have to try that technique again too.
