Thank you for that, maybe the most beautiful version I've heard, The song was written in 1985 by brothers Frank and Seán O'Meara and is about artist Grace Gifford who married Joseph Mary Plunkett in the chapel at Kilmainham Gaol just hours before he was executed by a firing squad in 1916, you should have a look at Celtic fans singing it, gives you chills wen there is 60,000 singing it 🍀

Just finished the book about Joseph Mary Plunkett, what a lovely, beautiful, brave freedom fighter, my lovely rebel granddaughter is reading it now, I’ve a tear in my eye when I hear this song, god bless all the beautiful freedom fighters, Ireland will be united one day sooner than later, bitter dinosaurs die out, ☘️🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪

This song has so much history behind it and you do it so beautifully miss Sherlock. It is one of those songs that can cause tears to come to your eyes but when I heard you sing it the tears did flow. Thank you Allie. Be safe and happy.
