En las ciudades ya no se hacen cabalgatas, al menos en las mas grandes. Estan prohibidas por temas de maltrato animal, en la mayoria de ferias de pueblos se hacen cabalgatas. La mayoria de cabalgatas de este canal son en valle del cauca y Antioquia, sobretodo en el norte del valle hay muchas cabalgatas porque hay una tradicion de cria de caballos.
