Not all heroes wear capes , or have superhuman abilities sometimes they're just people who have a right sense of justice.

Lyrics for this song are something magical Goblin slayer takes cliche story of "orks burned my village", spins it around into meaningfull story about hurt child looking for revenge, sacreficing every part of his existence for erication of horror everyone seems to not see or underestimate "just goblins they say" while fighting some dragons in wildlands. Goblin Slayer is ridiculed hero, a hero that nobody appreciates, one that saw through the veil, that knew, that protected ordinary people, when gm wanted to introduce new party members, he wasn't interested till elf told him about goblins, at this very moment he accepted without asking for payment, in fact killing goblins was his reward, just asked how much what kind and where. After 10 years of constant relentless combat taking only breakes to heal his wounds, he won a battle yet he fell, he rised up from deathsdoor, took anesthetics in form or a potion, stood up he dealt severe wound, he won the battle yet he fell, he fought till deathsdoor and with every part of his body and soul strived to eradicate this plague, he was saved by miracle of ressurection, and continued to do just work When he encountered goblin army, he swallowed his pride if he had any, and asked giving everything he possesed to rally a group of adventurers to help him, he moved heart of women from the guild to create a quest for killing them which helped to break ice and move other heroes, he won the battle, he knew how to fight them, he knew what they will do, he knows and thinks like one. After the battle, those adventurers saw what goblins are capable of, they started to appreciate his work, they treated him like a hero in celebration of victory. The greatest thing about Goblin Slayer is that it introduced me to Mili and now I have more good music to listen to

This is what I think the song is saying. The line "Sleep my child, they don't know your wars" isn't just about his solo feats killing goblins. It's also about his war with PTSD and his singular focus. It's telling him that he should allow himself to rest, a moment of respite from his PTSD and closeted nature. The next lines say "Sing and praise my child, blame the world no more. Always give meaning to your effort" reinforces this angle. The singer is telling him that he should allow himself to be happy once in a while and let his anger at the world subside for a bit. "Always give meaning to your effort" means about the same thing. It's telling him that there's no internal meaning to his actions if he doesn't allow himself to be happy. We're shown this happening at the end of the anime with him allowing himself to relax and take off his helmet

There's a sad beauty that this song hides behind and yet it is rather calming and enjoyable.

He is fighting a war, and no one seems to understand or care how important it is. Without him, how many newbie adventurers, how many small villages would all be killed, while adventurers are out killing trolls and other races that are still dangerous but less inclined to enter human territory?

"Justice" is not about slaying the "Evil", it's about letting you know that the "Evil" exists. *Easy to say, so much harder to do.*

This fits Orcbolg... Beardcutter... Goblin Slayer... perfectly. The other adventurers have no idea of the personal hell he lives with knowing he couldn't save his own sister and a great deal of other women from the goblin hordes. He fights alone so they can smile and laugh. Then Priestess wanders into his life, followed by his party, which marks him finding a meaning in it all.

i know it might sound cringe but this song helped me many times through the life stuff. People dying, life changing, losing jobs and relationships but this song always moves me and motivates to go forward.

He was the hero that they needed, but did not deserve.

I managed to watch this part of the show when there wasn’t any music playing. It was eerie, all you could hear was the fire burning while staring through the eye’s reflection, until the episode ended. When I rewatched the show this song played, and it added a different feeling I’d say.

I always love mili's songs. They are sometimes weird but they have a sense of magic in them. they are quite enchanting, magical, sometimes happy sometimes sad. and the voice is cute :3

It sounds like song for your final battle, the battle where you have to sacrafice yourself for those you love. Its for the time, when you are already reconcilated with the sacrafice you've decided to make and the only thing that matters to you is achieving your single one goal and taking as many enemies to hell with you as you can.

I've been thinking about writing a fanfiction story for this series. I don't know if other fans of the series would like it or not, but I wanna try actually writing it at some point, just to see what they and hopefully even the original Goblin Slayer author think about it. The idea behind it is something like this: What if Goblin Slayer had a main atagonist? This villain is a human. A human that's able to command goblins. No, he's not part goblin, no he's not faking commanding the goblins, and no, he's not using magic to do it either(even though he has some skills in magic, that's not one of those skills). No...He, to put it lightly, is just as evil and as cruel as, if not, worse than the goblins he lords himself over. The goblins who serve him practically worship him like he's their new deity. Use that one messed up guy from Berserk as a reference point(if you're not sure who specifically I'm refering to, that's kind of the point, so just go with your first guess), combine that with Genghis Khan and you get this guy(also use the wild hunt as a visual reference for what this guy is supposed to look like). The elves call him Grimcrown while the dwarves call him Grave-Lord. For now, I'm calling this villain, THE KING OF BONES. He commands armies of goblins, and when I say armies, think Sauron's orc army for reference of scale for each one. His goblin minnions are well trained and battle-hardened like no other goblins, making them challenges for even the mightiest of adventurers. These goblin warrior have even been able to tame beast that they are normally submissive to like ogres and dragons(before you ask, yes, I intend to have a part where Goblin slayer fights a dragon). Part of how The King of Bones has been able to maintian his powerful army is by only allwoing select goblins(particularly, the strongest and most adept ones) to breed with his maiden witch daughters(yep, I went there). The King of Bones doens't just sit on a throne all day commanding goblins, though, no, rather he joins his large armies in battle as he is a very formidable fighter. He is skilled in almost all forms of combat and is rather adept when it comes to his use of magic(he has also mastered the art of deflecting and catching incoming projectiles, including, but not limited to arrows, spears and fireballs). Narratively, The King of Bones has three primary components to his character that would be explored in this story. The first and most obvious component would be the threat that he poses, as Goblin Slayer would very quickly learn that a lot of his old methods of dealing with goblins won't work against these ones as The King of Bones also knows about these tricks as well as how to avoid/counteract them, forcing Goblin Slayer to use different ways. All the adventurers who made fun of Goblin Slayer for only hunting goblins would have their words come back to bite them in the anus as these goblins literally eat their anuses. The second narrative component to the King of Bones story would his cruelty. There would be moments where you see him wrapping people as well as other goblins, whether they're from other nests or one of his incompotent minions. These acts of cruelty alongside his basic villainy would be witnessed firsthand by Goblin Slayer and his party throughout. The other party memebers would have PTSD from encountering this guy while Goblin Slayer would begin to question his own beliefs and worldviews. More specifically, he would begin to question if there's really a difference between people and monsters. This would occur from a combination of him encountering the King of Bones and other adventurers calling the ethics of his methods of goblin slaying into question. The third component would be the why of it all. I have a backstory thought up for The King of Bones that would be partially explored throughout this story. If you want to know more, let me know.

He is to goblins what goblins are to us, he has killed the goblins that took his sister but he continues his crusade knowing his work is not done yet He acknowledged that he is causing the same kind of pain and anguish to the goblins that goblins did to him but they must continue to feel his wrath all the same He's job will never be done and he knows he can't do this forever but he will continue the fight as he is the goblin slayer

In a way this song really feels how Goblin Slayer was all alone while destroying goblins and everyone mocked him yet he stayed on his path... which will always be slaying the goblins... though now he adventures with his squad and slays the goblins... The sad thing is that Goblin Slayer did indeed die here, the miracle that Priestess and Sword Maiden did was to resurrect him not heal him. The great thing though as even though most people will never know the impact he has on the world because there are other great adventurers out there, he was the one that saved a small village being overrun by Goblins when no one else would which had the future Hero who saves the world in it. Had he never done what he does the world would have lost yet no adventurer will ever know the just how many people he has directly/indirectly saved.

I love Goblin Slayer not just because he’s a will powered badass, but for why he kills goblins. Sure, a lot of it is just hatred for the putrid little creatures, but he does it mainly so that no one else suffers the way he did. GS is literally the definition of selflessness.
