INGREDIENTS I USED:
Baked in preheated oven at 300 degrees for about 1 hour 35 mins. (Time may vary depending on your cake pan and/or oven.)
4 Cups Swans Down Cake Flour
3 Cups Sugar
4 Sticks UNsalted Butter (Room Temperature)
6 Large Eggs (Room Temperature)
3/4 C Milk (Room Temperature)
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Tblsp. Vanilla Extract
1 Tsp. Almond Extract

Oh my ms. Donna. My mothers recipe!. ☺I could not remember it until now.! I knew she used 4 cups of flour and a pound of butter in her cake. My brothers would call it the pound of butter cake, because of the 4 sticks of butter. She also used the almond flavor and 2 more flavorings. She always used 8 oz sour creme. Yes it is a very tall cake. Maybe that's why its called a million dollars, because its high like a million dollars. She added baking powder also, there fore it was tallest cake at the Sunday church dinners, and always a hit at family gatherings. Thanks again I appreciate u woman of God!!! OMG! I made your recipe yesterday and it turned out great! The only thing I did differently was eliminating the almond extract and adding 1 tablespoon of Mexican vanilla instead. The flavor is wonderful. The cake came out with a great texture and flavor. I love the fact that this recipe uses only basic pantry staples so you don’t have to make a special trip to the store to pick up special ingredients. Most of us always have flour, sugar, butter, eggs, milk and vanilla readily at hand. Thank you for your wonderful recipe. Loved your video, too!

Hi Miss Donna 🙋‍♀️ my granddaughter and I made this cake tonight. I have never tasted a cake as delicious as this one. YUMMY GOODNESS! We used heavy whipping cream instead of milk and only used vanilla extract. We watched the video together and laughed so much. When we tried the cake I said no wonder they were dancing. I have learned so much from your videos like have all refrigerated ingredients at room temperature (do not microwave the butter), beat butter first and then add sugar beating 12 minutes total, do not worry about having more flour after sifting, and add flavor to the butter. Wow I am blessed.🤩

I have been making a million dollar cake for over twenty years but a little different. I use salted butter,white lily all purpose flour,butter milk,vanilla and lemon flavor. I don’t like almond.
