Luke Evans is a fine actor. He was pretty cool in The Hobbit movies. So personally, I'm really disappointed that he would agree to play an evil douche.

+RoboWatchgirl: For an actor, especially someone with a musical background like Luke, Gaston is a dream character to play. The things you can do with a narcissistic, over the top character like that is incredibly fun to explore. Your disappointment is not only silly, your initial comment directed a at me, for calling Luke charming, makes me question your sanity. Therapy may not be cheap, for someone like you it's a necessary investment. You're welcome.

All of the actors are great in Beauty and the Beast but Luke Evans steals the movie with his performance as the rascally villain Gaston. He is really funny and charismatic and then devious when he has to be. He seems like he would be a lot of fun to work with.

Luke Evans - You are the best Actor for playing Gaston. In fact, better than the other Actor Richard White who voiced him in the 1991 animated version! I have got both Beauty And The Beast Versions on 📀 You are such a kind and gentle man, Even though you played a Villain in one film hee hee!

I really like his performance as Gaston. He turned this horrible vilain in a - still really bad person, of course - but some kind of more enjoyable on the screen. He putted a lot of fun in it and it works surprinsingly very well. Luke looks like a really cool person and at first I thought "maybe not the best man to play Gaston. He looks nice too much.". I was really wrong. He did super well and gave a new approach of the character.

And to the people who believe, "private life should stay private" what about all the celebrities who go down the red carpet talking about their lover, thank them in award speeches, and talk about their nuclear family in interviews....

Independent Politics he's openly gay, but he's allowed to keep his private life private, just because other actors don't want to keep theirs private doesn't mean he's not allowed to keep his private.
