AGT is of course is a money making machine, and their goal is always to do anything that will bring increased viewership for higher revenues even if they go outside fairness. This is my observation. Right at the beginning, they know marcelito will be a sensation in this AGT The Champions. So this is what they did. They put marcelito in the second AGT episode because viewers usually increased after the first one. And on the night marcelito is performing, they put him right at the first act…. that is because first time impression of his unique talent will create a huge buzz among viewing audience around the world. On his next song TIME TO SAY GOODBYE, they put him on the very last, so that viewers interested on marcelito will stay on watching (FOR RATINGS of course). Same thing on the THE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, they put him second to the last…..”not to appear very obvious”…. That is the politics I could see here and there are more. They are purposely making leaks that Marcelito got 4th or 5th place in the finals TO CREATE MORE BUZZ, DRAMA and increased ratings. They are NOTannouncing too much on the details of coming episodes to create more suspense. I think what will happen on 2/17/20, out of the 10 semifinalists from 2/10/20, they will pick 5 winners that will include marcelito. This is where probably marcelito was picked 4th or 5th, (not necessarily his position among those picked) to create more drama…. Then from here, someone will decide who is the winner…. but how, if the superfans will decide, I think marcelito has a good chance of winning, if simon cowell will exert his influence, that has to be seen. But it feels like that there will be a final FINAL to happen on 2/24/20 because how will they fit in 2 hours, elimination of 5 out of 10 semi finalists, performances of the remaining 5 contestants, performances of INVITED artists and others. ANOTHER EPISODE of AGT will likely happen for AGT to rake in more money and that is always their aim….
