How to put hair in ponytail for people with thick hair: Step 1. Brush knots out for 2 hours. Step 2. Find hair elastic. Step 3. Find another one because the other elastic broke when you tried to put it in. Step 4. Brush it up and put elastic on. Step 5. Hair is sticking out everywhere. Step 6. Try to take out elastic. Step 7. Cut elastic out of hair. Step 8. Brush knots out of hair for 2 hours again. Step 9. Put headband on. Step 10. Enjoy your... ummm... never mind it's not a ponytail anymore. 😭

The idea behind the vacuum trick is that dads, who are not skilled/experienced with dealing with hair, can use it to easily tie up their daughters' hair. If she did it, since she knows what she's doing, it would defeat the purpose of it.
