I hate Sephora it feels like being at a zoo if you go into the store, and the fake prestige is gone. Ulta turned me off with this 21 days of beauty. Honestly, they are making it easy to skip their stores. I'm starting to just shop directly from the brands.

I agree. I find myself buying directly from the brands as well. Their sales and offers are better.

I don’t care for Sephora but we gotta hand it to ulta that they have better deals and point system. I think ulta will go back to their old sale

@@curlieeloks3032yeah but I’ve been side eyeing Ulta since I realized the “drugstore” products are $2-3 more expensive so am I really saving? Especially seeing as how a lot of them like target also gives dollars you can use towards purchases

I agree that Ulta still has Sephora beat in points perks, but both companies need to step up their game. They increased the points amount for beauty events, the savings sale is terrible, and the in-store experience has gone downhill. The only reason to shop there now is convenience.

I prefer to wait when brands have their 50% off website sales. Juvia's Place had an even better sale at the beginning of the year on their site and you could combine coupons with the site discounts.

I just feel like the fda should update their regulations regarding those not safe for eye use colorants before enforcing them. Or the US won't get the same eyeshadow pallettes available in the EU.

Hey Tina! I did NOT shop the Ulta sale this time around. I was looking forward to it but I was not checking in every few days for sales like who has time for that. I am Sephora girl through and through so yes I still enjoy and participate in the sale. 20% off may not be much but I like being able to buy all of my beauty products in one place and having the option to return if it doesn’t work out without a hassle. I would love you to share your recommendations if you are able to for the sale. I trust your opinion for like at least 10 years now! Enjoy the rest of your day 🩷

The FDA should just adopt the EU approved dyes, they have stricter rules and did all the tests already. FDA hasn’t done any testing on what is or is not eye safe since the 1970s so it isn’t that the dyes aren’t eye safe it is just that they haven’t run their own tests…

They didn’t pivot due to pressure, someone on Reddit broke their code and revealed the whole shebang so they released it on their site as it was already shown on Reddit lol love a beauty nerd!

Your point about eyeshadow and eye looks in general around 16:00 is so true. I think the pandemic did a number of brands that were focused mainly on colorful, dramatic eye looks. There will always be a market for it, but it's definitely not as popular as it was 5 years ago.

Last year I really liked how they did a "review day" on Sunday. Or whatever day it was. So if you missed the item you wanted on its actual day, you could still get it. OR you got something, loved it so much, and bought more on the review day. They need to go back to that

I did not get anything during the Ulta sale, I think the last two years I have been shopping directly from the brands and I havent been hitting rouge.I have only been getting sephora collection items. I got the hydro glow foundation and from PMG got some of the mothership palettes I had in my wishlist.

Sephora has been having basically the same sale as ulta. If it has been on sale at ulta and they have it at sephora, it is half off at sephora as well. Also, some sephora brand items have been 50% off as well. I have been picking up thing i want from both stores on sale.

I don't know about the eye pigment thing because it seems a bit too much. Have it labeled so people who are sensitive to those know but otherwise...

I had planned to pick up a couple of things on specific days. Come to find out on that day that I had to be be a platinum member to buy them. Whatever Ulta. Both Sephora and Ulta were simultaneously running the same event and selling some of the exact same items. However, Sephora wasn’t doing the tier thing.

Loved the beauty chat today...would like to see more of this. Maybe on a monthly basis. I am more of a skincare addict now that i work from home...but I slay when I hit the road. I enjoy listening to you since you're Jamaican and I'm a TRINI... LOL. Definitely definitely fed up with the hot mess that is the Ulta sale this season. It had to be a bust. Some great skincare deals, but I was never able to complete online checkout...It kept dropping items out of my Shopping cart. I even stopped by the store which was ridiculous. Out of stock!!! With Sephora, I will probably not get anything unless The Ordinary and the Inkey List are included in the sale.. Other than that, my favorite skin care brands have up to 25% off or buy one, get 1 free. And so I have taken advantage of that....plus I was in Seoul, Korea in January and stored up on K-beauty faves. I have a feeling that after 2024, Sephora will demote me from Rouge to VIB. No problem. Don't need that status. I've become a smarter shopper...a much better status for me. Hey... Enjoy meeting the other creators! Show us the swag!...and let us know who you met

JD Glow had plenty of time to fight that legal issue and basically just chose to ignore it. And now they’re using it as an excuse to rebrand since no one is checking for the brand anymore. The brand owner is problematic - anti-choice among other things.

I would 100% order a mystery box from Oden’s Eye if I could definitely get your palette. But I’ve ordered the mystery boxes for the last 2 years and I have purchased everything they’ve launched in the last couple years. I HATE that I missed your palette 😔

I barely shop at ulta. Their website is slow and needs to be optimized. Just awful experience. Not interested in going to store either. I honestly just shop the CCO. Generous samples and full size products as gift with spending a certain amount.

Hello brautiful! I have a question ? I wouldn't bother if it is first time but it is all the time same story. Maybe u know, I don't understand Juvia's place . They said Sale, and as I add to my cart and do all steps, it doesn't apply any sale. Today is 40% the same story. I noticed that all the time! Do u have any idea why, by the way, I am in Canada.
