The Too Faced scandal was heavily exposed, and def team Nikki for that entire mess and blurbs over the years as more came out. However, some of the other crap I'm still 😏. Those include that horrendous blue sponge she hyped up and was later revealed to be paid for that while the product came nasty, the exposure of her affiliate links that ended up having her make multiple videos being upfront and then even creating icons to label a product as either sponsor or affiliate, but only after being repeatedly exposed (as many of the gurus have been guilt y of for years as well), then all the drama with Ofra Cosmetics and that former asian guru she did dirty (kim thai) even though Ofra was seeking Nikki. Still a fan for the most part (everyone has skeletons in their closet and faults) and she's come so far. But it ain't a pristine clean track record.

She should know better than to sign a contract that force her to lie to her audience. That should've been a red flag for her, but she still did it, for money. And people lost money by trusting her. Why excuse it?

"She did it for the money", yes, and...? That's the whole point of doing collabs with brands. I understand people lost money, but if you're still sweating over $56 from 5+ years ago, that's on you. No one is excusing her from the mistake she made and she's owned up to it and shared her experience and it has caused to her to be more nitpicky about her collaborations as she has stated. She's human. Get over yourself. God forbid you do anything wrong, otherwise we'll have to jump all over your ass for the rest of your life about it and remind you why you can't be trusted.

Judely Vanderpool Too Faced scammed her by giving her and other beauty influencers the higher quality palette and selling crappy ones to customers. If you watch Here For The Tea's video you can learn more about what happened. But basically Nikkie wasn't lying about the palette, Too Faced was. The palette she used was the one she approved of to be given to customers, not the one that was actually put on the market. She didn't even know about that until the reviews came in. What sucks is she can't defend herself about it because of a contract she signed with Too Faced saying she can't talk bad about it and has to advertise it. The company's called Too Face for a reason.

what about in the future, once all the hype has died down about the palette? is she allowed to talk shit about it then? because if so I'd be all over that if I were her. granted, it wouldn't matter as much by then, seeing as everyone would have already wasted their money, but at least it would give her a chance to defend herself.

Some products work well for some people and not so much for others. I agree. I have tried products that came highly recommended by friends and they simply didn't work out for me. Everyone is different. I don't think that some of these were deliberate examples of trying to scam consumers. Some of these were products that fell within the preference of the influencer's use because of what they like to achieve with those products. Other people might not be happy with the same product because they're looking for a slightly different result, or it might not work as well with their skin type or sensitivity.

Too Faced is a shit brand, and Jared Blandino whatever-the-fuck-his-name-is is a piece of shit. You should watch Here For The Tea’s video on the Too Faced/Nikki collab.
