as an indonesian, i think its true. people here are obsessed with white colored skin, not only caucasian white but also asian white. its pretty weird cause the natural skin colored for us are medium brown, i guess people want what they dont have

The Germany one to me should be Russia. When I was under 10 years old I met many Russian women and they all were 40-60 who dyed their hair that color red, had pale skin, and I remember dark lipstick.

Jessica Thompson Actually a lot of the photoshop work was fairly poor. While they might be better than an "average" user a lot of them are certainly not in the expert category Ignoring what they were aiming to actually do in terms of their "beauty standard" there was a lot of heavy handed use of smoothing tools etc. that just made me cringe. My personal preference for images is unedited. I'm a hobby photographer who aims to get the best image out the camera possible. I don't dispute that photoshop is a good tool for getting a perfect image but many of these were way to heavy handed.

I must agree with you. This is obviously some weird type of junk.. If they were photoshop "experts", this would have been a lot more realistic and better.. Many of them look quite strange.

The German one completely shocked me,like 91% always wearing makeup when they go out it's must be so tiring >.< and while me don't give a damn for makeup,i have a kinda hairy face and don't shave it cuz I don't think it's necessary,but i just think i'm beautiful with my own and u guys too,so be confident and be proud with urself :)

In Morocco there's no such a thing as a beaty standard and that's because Morocco is really diverse in the colors of skin we have tan,pale,black skins and a lot of green and blue eyes but mostly it's just brown eyes and there's a lot of beautiful hijab out there i just wanna know who edited this. I thought the American one was the most narrow-minded out of all of them. Even the ones that made her look pale. I definitely count inner beauty as the most important thing about a person. Outer beauty for me is just icing on the cake. You can eat it with or without icing.

The style Philippines represented here is actually the style designed to fit Filipina's morena skin and facial shape. The problem is many Filipinos try to fit themselves in their chosen beauty standard rather than finding the right style that fits them... I'm a Filipina myself, this statement is just a statistics and observation. Anyways you are beautiful, you just have to find the style that compliments you, never shape yourself into something you're not. You're beautiful, you just have to love it and maintain it.
