I don’t understand how Mattel can put so much quality into Monster High Gen 3 and then give us this

I was one of those children who did not have many toys for budgetary reasons, this kind of set (fairy / mermaid) is I find a real blessing for children who do not necessarily have the means to have several Barbie dolls at home! 💖

These always just make me wonder what a 90/00s Barbie Advent Calendar would've been like. I know it'd be FANTASTIC. Like I KNOW the Barbie in the window would've come fully dressed in FABRIC CLOTHING with shoes and everything else would be even more clothes and shoes and accessories and NO DUMB PETS!! Also this calendar is horrid. So the only Fabric clothing is a long skirt, a short skirt and a mermaid tail =__= .....wow.

I saw the calendar at our grocery store a few days ago and looked on the spoiler what's in there and thought "oh God, he's gonna hate it"

I think it would be interesting to open a newer Barbie advent calendar and then a older one just to see what would happen (also that would just be a fun concept)

I have to agree with you about the Dreamtopia line (cheap plastic and tacky) but I would have liked this calendar as a kid. I love your videos and you cheer me up on bad days.

I love the table and the tea pot and cups. So cute! I'd be so happy to get that Barbie furniture as a kid. But I would have liked to get more clothes. At least a few more pieces :S Imagine if they just swapped out one of the pets and a couple of the accessories for shirts or skirts, would be 100 times better

Never been a Barbie fan, but I have to say I really like the concept of having different dress up sets to mix and match on a doll. Some of the cheap plastic accessories might be great for painting and customizing up! I agree that only a couple skirts and no top is a shame.

The blue necklace reminds of slobbers, and the purple gives doily vibes. Kind of a bummer they didn’t include something (other than a few snowflakes on skirts) to relate to Christmas. I saw LOL has an advent calendar as well are you considering getting that too? Thank you so much for sharing and best wishes always.

Whenever I see something made for Christmas but doesn't look very Christmas-y, I just assume it's for Australian Christmas.

I actually like this one better than last years. Although it's not very christmasy, and the sections definitely should have been numbered, if u are buying it for the doll alone, I'd say it's great. I like the accessories. The pets are adorable, and the little table and tea set. I think that kids will love it. I would get this one for sure.😊

I´m trying to think back being a child: I would have loved the tiny tea set, it´s so tiny and also very playable. A few pets and accessories would have been nice but I would have been happy to swap at least half of them to: bendable knees (easier for my doll to sit), one arm in bend position, a few more fabric clothes. Then it would be quite nice, very playable set for a child.

I am in Canada and this year we have a Barbie Colour Reveal advent calender on the store shelves not the Dreamtopia line.

Thank you Joey! Totally agree with you! Also I recognize so much, they just threw in what they had extra and sold it as an advent calendar. My daughter doesn't like all the plastic things as well. She wants to play with fabric clothes. I kept all my barbies and some of the clothes don't fit the new barbies, but I see how much fun she has when she changes their clothes. Btw the new chelsea dolls have dresses that are entirely made out of fabric. No more plastic tops! Thank you mattel for doing this, please no more plastic!

As big as your collection is you should sort through it and put together your own ideal Barbie advent calendar - have the order of the days make sense, build upon each other, and have a proper "grand finale". As bad as the advent calendars have been, it might be time to show how it should be done!

I bought myself Barbie Color Reveal Advent Calendar from the last year, that one surprisingly seems fine to me. Clothes is really cute there. This.... who thought that Dreamtopia would be a way to go for an advent calendar... :S everything that has Dreamtopia logo on it is super cheap and ugly.

the accesories are very beautiful and lovely, but for a playtime i feel that the advent calendar of 2021 its more useful, because a girl don't like play with a mermaid, a fairy or a fantasy princess everytime, and de barbie its an very normal dreamtopia barbie, if they want more they could giver her articulations

These advent calendars just seem like such a missed opportunity. You're never going to get an amazing quality of doll but why not just go full Christmas themed. Does she need 3 pets? I'd have loved it as a kid if I could have made up a little Christmas scene over 24 days. A doll, a cheap little dress, some Christmas accessories, mini stockings, little gifts. You could do something not that expensive but much more fun

I almost didn't get this calendar because of your review. And boy, it was the best purchase ever. Not for me 🤪, for my 4.5y old daughter. Every morning her first move is to check out the calendar. It gives her (and me 🫣) hours of fun. She pretend plays with the little animals, she accessorized the barbie like a million times, they are having tea parties and they are flying together. We need to take barbie out with us whenever we visit friends. Maybe it's not impressive for an adult, but for a little girl it is a great gift. Oh, and she has a ton of outfits for her dolls and still prefers to play with this one right now. I imagine thet once she's into outfits and all of thet stuff the enthusiasm will wear out, but right now it's a hit as it is. ❤

You know I'm going to say this I think for families that can't afford to buy their child a Barbie or even Barbie accessories. This Advent calendar would be a good choice for them. Because it gives her child one adult and two multiple different things for clothing and accessories. I got my first Barbie when I a lot younger and it wasn't even Barbie was pocahontas. So I had Pocahontas and her friend Miko and I gave my best friend Pocahontas his friend cuz I kept Pocahontas but I gave her Pocahontas's outfit as well and I still have my Pocahontas doll I'm 40 years old. Now when I was younger younger younger I did have Stacy and Skipper which are Barbie's sisters. But I never had a Barbie barbie. My sister had Barbie dolls my other sister had Barbie dolls I just had Stacy and skipper. But then I am the youngest of four and I have two sisters and one brother. And every time I got to do all my brother broke it. So no point in giving me a doll my brother's just going to break it and tear it up.

There is a vintage 12 Days of Christmas Barbie avant calendar, but it's super expensive.

I found a beautiful 12 days of Christmas Signature barbie advent calendar on the Walmart website that is incredible quality with a beautiful classic doll, unfortunately it’s $253 USD. Very sad that the best quality stuff has to be that much.

My daughter wanted that one... Now I'm glad we did not get it for her. She'd be disappointed...

I wish they wouldn’t put almost every item in a plastic bag. Shoes, hair clips and items that come in multiple pieces in one section would be fine to put in a plastic bag, still a paper bag would be better. But other than that plastic bags for almost everything is so unnecessary. If they didn’t put them in plastic bags that would save them so much money, it would be easier to get the item because we wouldn’t have to remove the plastic bag first and most importantly it would be so much better for the environment.
