No. The church acoustics are advantageous, but they are not part of the instrument itself.

That organ is about a 3 hour drive from me. I'd love to see it. They've been working really hard, and the last update I've seen on Facebook, they have another division back online.

To get the true full effect. You need 8 Bowers & Wilkens 803 D4 3way speakers. Or if you are on a budget Revel PerformaBe F328Be speakers. The highest quality amplifiers that you can afford. With matching wires. Hook it all up to a top tier turntable. Let the complete system warm up. Then enjoy.

@luucdentoom6955 The persons main fuse box. Will needed to be upgraded to a 550/600 volt system. Just to handle the amperage draw. Then there is the custome sound installation. That will be needed throughout the whole house. The wilkens system is known for being highly distortion free. So it is a toss up between. True realistic pipeorgan sound output. And quality sound reproduction.

I used to say they were the most fun, overblown, but amazing bars in the entire canon. Sort of like a Mozart symphony ending with V-I V-I V--I V-I ad nauseam, but in a most romantic way. Also about the most fortitude finger 5 gets anywhere - it HAS the power!

Heard a recording made in April 1932 on an organ in Paris where the composer himself was the organist and showed every organist in the world how it should be played. He was 88 years of age at the time of the recording - a lot of suface noice, generally speaking a "bad" recording, but it was a 1932 recording for goodness sake, therefor one of the "best" recordings ever😊❤

That's the end of of Widor's Tocatta. One of the best pieces for full organ!

I've heard people argue that Charles Marie Widor's Toccata needs to be slowed down, because it's musical intricacies are lost when played at the fast speed which some organists do. I think I can hear what is revealed by a somewhat slower playing, but this version seems too slow. To me, the faster versions are exciting and uplifting!
