I’d leave the exposed beams on the ceiling the color they are! Especially if you’re changing the floor and wall colors. Also, I love the charm the kitchen floor adds to the house!

I would totally keep the dark beams like that! Don’t touch them! My mother in law completely gutted their new house except for the natural beams, did light grey walls with white trim and painting the fireplace brick white - looks SO good. The contrast is really beautiful.

Carter is growing up so much! He's going to be such a big help to Chris working around the house! Yes, I remember the bunk beds! It's great you saved everything from the old house!

I did a double take when I saw Carter. He looks like a pre teen! I was not ready for that! I remember the bunk beds. The boys will have so much fun with that! So about the color of the wood beams on the ceiling, you could stain them a blond wood color. If you’re going to paint the walls a light gray or a coastal blue you could paint them white. If you paint the walls a cream color, match the beams with the wood floors. Just make sure the wall color makes you happy. That’s all that counts!

The bay house is such a great space, bonus next to the water …We are so happy for you and super happy because we get to enjoy it as well. Carter helping Chris is so precious, he really is a credit to you both🥰. I remember when we moved into our flat 3 years ago …😳it was not cared for and we had to roll up our sleeves and scrubs for nearly a week to get it to a state we felt ok just to walk in . You wouldn’t recognise it today and the block of 4 flats has great tenants with all of us taking pride in the outside as well make a huge difference. When you replace your counter tops, switch your stove to a slide-in (the kind with no top piece) rather than a free standing. It will open up that space so much and not look as awkward.

Wow ,I had to go back and check for myself. The first time I watched your Channel was chicken crockpot recipe with other ladies. I did a back watch of Carter and baby Tan man. I was right at first I couldn’t remember if the first time you had floors in the kitchen. Remodeling of the kitchen. Chris worked and I just loved how you was so calm to watch. I do remember the bunk beds. Wow times has gone by. My boys are 29 and 23 now. This year Aug. 16 th I will turn 50. Married 29 years and my husband and I have been blessed. Congratulations again on y’all’s new place. We live in Oklahoma and now have been living our dreams. We let our older boy live with us to help him save. He owns his house and truck and he at the time turned 25. I was a proud mom. The youngest we are doing the same for him. I want them almost debt free so they didn’t have to save like my husband and I did. Anyway sorry just my mind was going back in time.
