Now how could I not love this! You did exactly what I've wanted - cleared out enough from the front bottom of the dam that the whole thing would collapse! But I certainly didn't count on how much water would flow. That looked pretty dangerous. I'm glad it didn't knock you over. You sure made a big impact on this one! One suggestion. You have had a few dams that collapsed similar to this one. Perhaps you could make a playlist of them. It would also be nice to have playlists for each dam you have done multiple times. I would certainly go and watch those to see how they have changed with the seasons and over time. "When you build your own house..." Yet another way to get a million subscribers. People love watching people build their own houses!

Always be careful cus the water force can be dangerous sometimes

It was an interesting technique you used in removing this dam 🙂 taking material from the lower layers caused the weight of the water to push the top section over as you pulled it with the rake 👍 very satisfying to watch the wall tumble, but nail biting to see you were still in front of it 🫣 with how easy the wall went over I think you could have pushed it over from the top of the embankment 👍 might be worth considering for the next time in the interest of your safety 🙂

I think this damm was build by younger beavers wasn't very strong, stay safe and healthy 🇺🇸

I am suprised that rebuilt dams that you remove don’t collapse that more often. The reason I say this the sticks act like a anchor to the dam and the high water pressing against the dam with little left to support it. Hey at least nature made the work easier for you. The only is that can be dangerous for you when it does break loose. I am glad that you know what to watch for if it does. So it will NOT sweep away. Looks like winter doesn’t want to go away for awhile yet. I am in Southern California and we are dealing with the same thing. There are some high mountains east of me. 4000 ft to 8500 ft with a lot of snow on the ground there. From 5 feet to 7 feet high. Further north on the east side of the Sierra Navada mountains the area known as Mammoth Mountain ski area has over 700 inches of snow on the ground. ( 60 feet )!! They are saying that people will most likely be able to ski in June!! WOW! The northern part of the state got a lot of snow and rain in a short period of time. The only thing that saved us was we were in a very bad drought for a long time and the dams were almost empty. Now they are almost full. Some areas down stream are dealing with flooding.
