I can clearly hear their French accents through those beautiful harmonies. And they had the good sense to pick a venue with great acoustics. Truly, one of John Lennon's greatest compositions.

One of the two writers of this song was a guy named John Lennon. The other was Paul McCartney. Lennon wrote another song called, Imagine. In it, he proposes that one should "Imagine no religion." This video was made inside a church, I get it, for acoustics. One of these days they should try the acoustics of a high school building, or of a museum. They are amazing. Not only that but they are also a place a learning. Churches preach from a book that says knowledge is the forbidden fruit. It is not the girls' fault. It is the fault of our education system, of our, political system of government that counts on religious institutions to get their votes election day, and of our media. Ultimately, it is our fault as parents.

It is some women singing a tune with random Text (opinion John Lennon) in a church. I would have missed it because I will never enter a church, temple or anything like that because religion for me is ridiculois. Nevertheless this is Not the right channel for religious statements. They are not even dressed according usual church rules

I walked down the aisle to this song 13 yrs ago it was played on the harp without vocal accompaniment. My husband and I had tears in our eyes. We knew the song well. Many of our early dates included late night drives singing along to Beatles songs. This rendition is beautiful and thank you for another stunning version of a song that holds a very special place in my heart

Beautifully exacuted.. The only Beatle song that ever made me misty .. such beauty .. such sorrow .. such vulerability. For me, it's John's best song during the Beatle era. These ladys' did it justice. I'm quite sure John would be quite proud and humbled ...

Lovely singing of a very familiar song from one of my all time favorite albums. Every time I hear the end of "Because" I instantly think "You never give me your money. You only give me your funny papers." Not only are the individual songs on Abbey Road masterpieces, but they blend together in such a way that they always seem odd to me when sung individually. This is especially true of side 2 of the original album, where "Because" was sandwiched between "Here comes the Sun" and "You Never Give Me Your Money."

a new appreciation! An interviewer bothered Paul with how passe' the idioms were in this song. Paul pointed out they were John's lyrics... but obliquely noted how poetically they made sense. He didn't mention that barely a couple years before they worried if they were going too far in A Day in the Life using "turn you on"--and already it's passe'.🙂
