I saw him in Detroit once, warm up band couldn't make so Beck did an all aucostic first show. Took an intermission came back guns ablazeing with his band. Many sides to Beck's music.

Top Notch - that is the exact ideal way to describe this guy. Beck is at the top of the heap amongst best artists we were blessed with in the 90's and has managed to stay relevant and nearly flawless in quality all the way till today. Folk/alt-rock/hip hop/break beats/electronica....I honestly cannot think of any other artist (and one who never old out - he does what HE wants to express and probably is less legendary because of it but the usic is just pretty unbelievable given how steady his output has been and always new and changing and mixing styles, so your change of heart is really awesome to see!)with such ability to focus or combine these styles on albums or on he same album over more than a dozen albums and nearly 30 years and still going. He is one of the all time greats and doesn't get the respect or notoriety for his accomplishments (even Kanye tried to steal his Best Album Grammy in 2014 to give to Beyonce - that was for a pure folk rock acoustic album, but his next was like a hyperspace electronic adventure - but either way the song writing is always on point as is the delivery).

Beck's so diverse it's hard to get a good idea of who he is without a deep dive. The drums on CHEMTRAILS are so sick.
