Not only do I love hearing him say Dada but you can tell that he knows the meaning because his face lights up when you say Dada too! It's awesome! This just brightened my day!

OH MY WORD. He's progressing so fast it's just amazing. He's going to do things now that you don't expect. Add some more Omegas to his diet and it will speed up the brain-mouth connection. I am certain that he was missing key nutrients before. And preschool is SO GOOD for him.

I remember my grandchildren denying they had a poop when the evidence was obvious. Good speaking Beckham! Sometimes kids can use electronic devices to help them communicate. I don't know if something like that would work for him, but maybe ask about it. We took our son to a specail clinic that was devoted just to communication options.

Rachel, have you thought about using a toy library? That way you have a variety of toys to use, and you can use them for a while, then change them for others. This keeps playtime fresh and exciting.

I have noticed Beckham moving the toy stroller back and forth, so maybe a toy truck or car that lights up when the wheels spin. He can also just spin the wheels with his hand?

As an Australian, I've noticed that Americans tend to use the phrase, "Good job" to praise the child whatever they have done. May I kindly suggest that it's much better to be more specific when praising children. For example, you could say, "Beautiful talking, Beckham" or "I love your hugs". Focus on exactly what behaviour that you are excited about, or pleased about. With Blakely, "Thank you for sharing your blocks with Beckham, Blackely. That's so kind of you."

You are right you can see he is connecting wires in his brain to make it happen. No doubt this is only the beginning!

How about magnetic building tiles? Not what you're looking for, but they are easy to put together. Another idea would be a toy that says the word of the picture on the button. The Leap Frog Interactive Puppy repeats what the child says and then asks the child a question.You can buy cheaper versions that just repeat what you say. Or, there are buttons that are a decent size onto which you can record your own voice. So you could have 2 or 3 to begin. You could have one say " drink" and another say "eat". Put a picture to represent the word on the button. You can afix them to a board of some sort. Beckham can choose by pushing the botton. Make a game of it by offering foods and drinks he loves. Gradually add more buttons and words! Put a picture of Hunter one another button, and you can record "dada" on it, and he also have buttons for each of Blakely, Beckham and you, with each of your names recorded on them and a photo of you on the button. Let me know if you need help finding some. Sensory toys- the Sensory Slug is a fidget toy that has sections and they click as you squeeze it. Try a site called Fat Brain. They have a range of toys with great explanations of what the toy does, how it helps the child learn, and so much more.

So sweet ms.blakely, my Raphael won't change the diaper sometimes. Its so nice when he run and me behind him. 😀

Don't let him forget clap-clap-clap--He was doing that while you were talking to the camera--Just give yourself a gift for Christmas and rent or buy a rug shampooer and clean the Living room rug--It will make you feel so good and smell so good--Having more fun with the blocks container than the blocks--Have any couch syrup for the kids?--Show him a picture of Hunter and ask him who it is --I hope everyone just keeps feeling better every day!
