Dear Becky and Chris, What I like the most about your videos is the way you interact with each other. It has been fascinating as an outsider to go on your various helicopter journey’s but for me the journey of your interaction with one another is far more interesting. You are made for each other and the adage that opposites attract is so true in your relationship. There is so much kindness, love and understanding. Not to say that it’s easy, I am sure that like all relationships there can be ups and downs. But you both work at making things work - if you know what I mean. Anyway, good luck to both of you and thanks for sharing your experiences. Very best wishes. Denis

It's great to see the western desert from the air at low level, I have seen a lot of it from the ground. Yuma is where the US tests new artillery developments. There's a huge range to the north east and the guns they are testing now will shoot more than 40 miles, according to what is on their website. I think they call it the KOFA firing range, named after the King of Arizona mine which was in what is now the Kofa mountain range and the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge. Strangely, the middle of an artillery test range is a great place for animals. Shooting is confined to a very few locations, and the target areas are also limited, but most people can't go on the range for safety reasons. 104F is not bad, like any summer day in San Jose. Phoenix can reach 120F day after day. This year Sky Harbor recorded over 110F for 31 consecutive days from 6/30 to 7/30 and over 115F for 17 days. Average July temperature this year was 102.7F.

I promise that I did watch last week's episode, but didn't comment. I was 15 minutes late to the show starting, hopefully I'm forgiven. Anyhoo......I'm here now, and here until the end of this week's instalment. Well, that was MOST DEFINITELY worth the wait. Route 66, The (almost) Boneyard, more BBQ, thermals in the desert, and making it from coast-to-coast (pretty much). Wicked to be on this journey with you both. We (the fans and supporters) need to get this series submitted to a short film / docu-series festival for some kind of award. It is THAT good, and the more support the better the chances.

I’m a retired airline pilot and still fly my airplane. I understand the problems with keeping the iPad from overheat especially when it is exposed to the sun coming in the windows. I modified the mount I was using to ventilate the iPad and it works great to prevent overheating. Sporty’s Pilot shop has a similar but probably more efficient form of what I made and when I looked just now, it was on sale. X-naut cooling case for iPad, SKU 2071A. Thought you would be interested. On a cross country camping trip during late summer 1970, I overnighted in Blythe CA. Traveling in a non-air conditioned car, we knew it was not going to be a camping night. I think I got air sick listening to all those radio frequency changes. Enough to blow your mind. But you are both prepared to handle them as a team. Great work. . And I could feel the heat just watching what you went through Another fantastic video! Look forward to the next #5. Your living my dream videography and aviation (helicoptering) 🚁❤️

Another amazing, high quality episode! I was born and raised in Southern California now living in the Pacific North West. I learned to fly helicopters starting in 2020. Your chronicle of the journey and places I had been to many years ago in a car now seeing via air is a rush down memory lane. The content you are producing is outstanding. Can’t wait for the next one!!!

Living in Tucson I am so glad that I have a high wing cessna 150 I am always in the shade in the hot summer. I always hate it when ATC says cleared at your own risk.

AWESOME There are so many incredible highlights. Loved the technical transitions through California. It gave ME sweaty palms. I can only imagine what it was like for you two. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride.

on the edge of my seat the whole video, great series, btw thanks for running the video without any annoying youtube ads. The heat here in the west does get intense. Here in Vegas I need white cotton gloves just to hold the steering wheel in my car during the summer months.

Hey Chris, I feel the pain. My SLING has been in annual since 8/31! Hopefully back next week. Can’t imagine being out 6-8 months. Looking forward to today’s episode, will try and say hi at 10. And Becki, I haven’t forgotten you, as always, stellar videography and editing on this series.
