So as usual I am super late uploading, but here we have it! The second in the series of my a girls guide to, and this time we have the 2017 Audi S4.
I am still finding my feet with this style of reviewing, so let me know what you guys think in the comments below. I like to offer a completely unbiased opinion and all thoughts are my own!
Next time we will be looking at my new Fiat Abarth 595!

From your review, I generally feel you think this car is barely fast. I personally think you have driven too many faster cars or just lost touch with reality. This S4 is as fast, if not faster than .......... A C43, a focus RS, a Honda Civic Type R, a Golf R etc etc. All those cars are considered fast hot hatches. So I don't get where you think an S4 is not 'drop your pants down' fast. It can even hit 60 as fast as a Ferrari 360 i.e STG's current Ferrari. If I was looking for a fast car, I'd look right past this car based on your review. The current RS's are in super car territory so obviously this S4 would be slower, but still fast

I thought the same as you. It's so difficult though, one person's fast is another's slow, and if you've been driving a lot of very fast cars, even something as rapid as this maybe feels so-so. Then again, maybe it's the power delivery. So many cars have a linear acceleration rather than an old school big turbo pause-then-punch?

Meady, I agree but it's down to the reviewer to distinguish between supercar fast and a fast car. To describe an S4 as 'having enough power to get you out of a sticky situation' is laughable. She's just trying way too hard to play it cool IMO.

Its subjective. It's not a slow car but it didn't blow her away either. Partly because the delivery as stated would be linear and partly because of much faster cars having been driven giving her frame of reference. Still a great review. I drove an Aston Martin Rapide and it simply didn't FEEL particularly quick despite having a V12..

Yes, great review but the S4 is quicker and is a performance car...90% of the RS at 65% of the price...and if you need a car for long distance, regular trips around Europe in our case, then the S4 makes perfect sense rather than the thirstier RSs.

Benjamin Button yeah any car getting under sub 5 second 0~60 is a sports car imo ...Not supercar buts sports. Maybe she's driven one too many Super cars or maybe she ain't fussed on Audi cars and who can blame her 😉

Great to see a review on the S range instead of the more 'obvious ' RS. Love the sleeper aspect of it. Would prefer top spec s4 over rs4.

These S range cars are the sweet spot of the Audi line up, they do everything so well and are not compromised by the outright performance focus of the RS range. Order debadged from Audi and you get a really nice daily Q car that's well put together, comfortable and with enough turn of speed to surprise some very expensive cars. The fact you can paint your car any colour you like for not a daft amount of money is also a huge draw.

Get hold of a C7 S6 to drive if you can B, it's the perfect daily Q car especially in Avant form. Think of like an "RS6 comfort", ours is awesome. 450hp 4.0TT V8 with a dual clutch gearbox.

Great review. I just bought a 2014 B8.5 and LOVE IT. I love the dual clutch and how you can feel how snappy it is. I didn't hear many of your thoughts on the 7 speed auto. What's your thoughts on how sporty the trip tronic feels vs the S-tronic dual clutch? I also love how comfortable you are driving it quickly while giving great commentary at the same time.

This is so refreshing to watch. I'm beginning to lose patience with the lack of creativity - scrolling through the search results and have some duck-faced ponce with too much of daddy's money pointing at his car, with some e.g. 'WTF I just bought an Audi' caption. Wow, price range in Uk is incredibly low compares to the rest of Europe, this car starts at an equivalent of 64800 GBP in France.... without the carbon taxe to pay when registering.... it's a real bargain overhere !

Nice review, if it's one thing Audi do right it's a fast estate (Avant) this goes back all the way to the RS2 (B4). And having a turbo V6 in an A4 is cool, it's very B5 only that one was a Cosworth unit and as we know Cosworth know their stuff.

Im considering buying a S4. This is hands down one of the best and brief car reviews I have ever seen! And the production and editing with the music is perfect. I am an ignorant North American...when you are driving those, what I would call, single track roads are you just hoping there is not another car coming from the other direction? And the "you" is just any UK driver... Also - as much as I love the S4 estates - I hate the after thought, 'plunk the screen on top of beautiful dash and make it all look stupid' placement. Appreciate and like the video. Glad to see you uploading again!

Yep we just hope! if there is a car coming you have to reverse to a passing point where both cars can go past each other. If there is more than one car it is usually a nightmare

S4 2017 or 2015 S6? V8T pulls me so much but 3.0 V6 is more ''sensible'', im not into times or which is faster(both are very close) but pure enjoyment of driving.

thank you miss queenB well sorted out presentation you gave me a sense of what niche this auto might fit into, thats a good target to aim for, when giving advice about what your audience might be looking for, camera work a little jittery when framing the vehical, could use image stabilization, or maybe just a tripod, just saying. Hunter Lane the B8.5 was the last of a few great things...one of them was the supercharged 6 as well as a 6MT. The B9 S4 (shown here) is a turbo and not a supercharged engine. RIP.

45K for 350HP? I'd rather get a 17 Plate S3 with 300HP For 30k and either Chip it for an extra 70hp or go for a mapping..

Don't these high performance engines all need de coking and a clean out extremely soon compared to old vehicles?. If it can't go out the back passage as emmissions its going to recirculate & build up in the car somehow, and somewhere along the way the pipes/arteries of these modern low emission engines can get clogged up as low as 40k mls - huge service bills I can imagine 💸💸💸.

GazG80 It’s not emissions that’s cause carbon build up, it’s the oil/water vapour from the PCV sticking to the intake valves and not having air/fuel mixture passing over them and cleaning the residue off due to the direct injection. I’m sure the the mk7.5 Golf R went to dual port injection to help combat the problem, I dare say so have a few VAG engines now.

They do, yes. I suppose they are worth it on any DI car. You just need to remember to empty them 😂
