So this is different... just a sit down talk today, explaining a few tips and tricks that will help you become a monster with The Last Word. This comes with the news, in the latest TWAB that TLW will be receiving a buff... I get a lot of questions about TLW... hopefully this will answer them!

I think it is also worth noting that the Fan Fire perk improves your accuracy with each hipfire hit. This makes it very important to hit your first shot. I find that when I have the Fan Fire perk going, TLW has far fewer ghost bullets when shooting it full auto.

I was using last word and trustee for the longest time, and finally changed to a 120 and a shotgun because my friends kept telling me it was better. while my K.D. is higher, ive been getting less eliminations. Thank you Jake for confirming that double primaries and last word and a scout is good to use.

You should do another video on tips to snipe, or like about trials since you have a lot of experience on the game mode, like how to engage an when to engage, talk about lanes and stuff like that, would make an interesting video

I’ve known you for dam near 7 years now and we first met on my final win to the light house back in D1. We beat you all and I we both used last word. Lol I’ll never forget when I said, “that guy uses last word just like me! Wtf” and I added you. We played once after and that was it and then you started to take off with the streaming stuff! 💯 Mad respect for you doing your thing bro and still using last word as your Main in D2 😂

As a dyed in the wool Last Word user, I think the absolute most important tip for people struggling with is that you need to learn when to use full auto and when to just tap your shots. I actually tap more often than use the full auto mode and it helps immensely, particularly when you are farther away from your target. If you are getting bum rushed by a shotty, then full auto is probably the way to go, but I personally find that when I focus on pulling the trigger for every shot, I am more likely to be firing when the reticle is actually on someone's noggin.

One of the first exotics I ever got was the Last Word, I've used it faithfully in nearly every PvP scenario. This man speaks nothing but truth, he's spot on with his advice. I've challenged 2v1's frequently with TLW and win them because of the tips he's providing. Well done loved the video

been maining last word since D1 and even after patches on console in D2. think it had a higher skill ceiling when it first came out in D2 when u could ADS three tap but i adjusted to just hipfiring the weapon and it almost feels easier to use now because it allows u to keep ur strafe speed and awareness from radar. i main it with sniper + dragon shadow so the swapspeed is instant between weapons for easy clean ups on body shots and in 1v2/3 situations in trials. i would suggest when tap firing or full auto for each shot to slightly move both left and right sticks, so left for strafing and right to maintain aim assist and crosshair stickiness to reduce ghost bullets, and learn to hit the three headshots to consistently win 1v1's

I use LW a lot and another tip is to learn to crouch while firing last word. It’s kind of another way of winning those panic spray situations. X

Last Word on a Warlock is great with Ophidian Aspects and Celestial Fire. I can confidently get a kill in four shots and then not be forced to reload or reload super fast. Either way, I could land two shots and melee to finish with my super tracking melee or just dip in cover reload and dip out before they even regen health. Also it’s not as powerful but empowering rift with Luna factions is interesting.

I would rather have an actual exotic trait as a catalyst, like Heir Apparent, Symmetry, Tommy's Matchbook, Trinity Ghoul, Ruinous Effigy, Hawkmoon, or Dead Man's Tale. Are stat buffs and extra perks useful? Yes, but what makes exotic weapons exotic is the creativity behind them.

I've never had a problem in 1v2 situations. And when using top tree golden gun 1v3 is easy if you properly use cover. Headshots are basically gifted to you

Also do NOT forget these mods: Unflinching hand cannon aim (recommended) Hand cannon targeting (recommended) Hand Cannon Dexterity (possibly a must, everything is optional, you can use these for TLW to perform better with certain mods! Take advantage of these!

Surprised he didnt mention it, but im a last word user and the #1 thing for me is range management. You dont wanna get too close to a shotty or too far from a pulse. Get fimilar with the 4 tap distance and win those medium battles

Yea people keep in mind, hipfiring is not something that feels natural in a shooter. Especially if you're still on 30fps. I feel like I'm aiming at the head all the time with DMT and TLW but alas, I don't get the crit. Hipfiring is a skill you might not think you need to hone, but with these weapons you really do.

I'm a Mouse and Keyboard player only, and i don't get why more mnk players don't use this gun. This is one of those guns where just using it makes your aim better, as you don't have ADS to aim with, so you need hip fire skill alone. Once you get hitting those crits down, they will all fall before you. This is the gun i started using in Destiny to improve my aim in Titanfall, and it worked

Is there a way to cancel the animation on tlw? When I play sniper with it and swap to it, sometimes it does the rolling animation that prevents you from immediately shoot. Is there a way?

No, but using a HC dexterity mod speeds up the animation allowing you to fire the first bullet sooner.

Wraithmetal Mail (from a Dragon Shadow Dodge), Lucky Pants, and Ophidian Aspects), all greatly increase the Twirl animation speed...allowing you to fire the first bullet much sooner.

Jake ALWAYS uses the laconic ornament, which is an absolutely beautiful ornament but I wish he’d mix it up sometimes and use another one, I think there is just one other, too bad there isn’t a lot more options. I have the heated exchange ornament I think it’s called and I love it, but I do really wish I had the ornament that Jake uses. Have a nice day! :)

On console the skins are bugged use the default ornament otherwise the recoil is bugged

So in other words they are going to try and FIX Destiny 2 THE LAST WORD like it was in Destiny 1 when it was Awesome and every second shot was a automatic crit hit. TLW is dear to my hart as it was my very first exotic in Destiny. I got in on the second day of D1 at the Loot Cave that of coarse was not yet known as that yet. It was also my primary for the Vault of Glass Raid. All my friends were like Dude you can't use a Hand cannon on this and I was like" Oh Yeah, Hold My Beer" TLW absolutely wrecked VEX and I was easily holding a gate while two of my friends were struggling with auto rifles on the other gate. Maybe it's fate that we are getting a Vault of Glass revamp this very next season too.

I'll occasionally use LW/Shotgun combo when I really want to play aggressive, or if I get tilted enough. most times, I'm with Jake and snipe with it. I couldn't use it at all back in d1 and I'm finding it fun now in d2. I also didn't know it was full auto til the end of d1 pre d2... i'm a vanilla d1 player XD
