You've done it again George, Your ingenuity is masterful. Beautiful job, great tutorial. As you may know, the present government here in Canada frowns on anything fun about firearms, so I will have to come up with something to replace the cartridges, maybe a couple of the small Bic lighters. It always gives me pleasure to watch your artistry come to fruition.

@@GypsyJvan Once you back tac or lock the stitches, clip the excess thread to about 1/8th”. Put the flame of a lighter close to the threads and melt the ends. Before it hardens press em flat This’ll prevent the thread ends from working loose. Of course this doesn’t work on natural threads like linen etc

I thank you for always commenting so supportively I have never used any formula to figure thread length The usual idea out there is like 5 times the length of the project to be sewn but leather thickness adds to that Thru the years you get good at guesstimating
