Muslims who talk about the state of the Ummah, etc. only do that because they care about the Ummah. And just because someone uses Alhamdullilah incorrectly in response to a difficult situation doesn't mean they don't know what Alhamdullilah means and doesn't mean that they forgot that Allah (SWT) is worthy of all praise and about all that he has given us.
