It is as if this majestic sample of a Cape Dutch Manor House stands guard over the valley below. On any day, the play of the light of the sun and the shadows and the clouds emphasizes the three-dimensional setting of the mountains below in the Valley and also the vista high up above the Franschhoek Pass.
This masterpiece in Cape Vernacular architecture is not a heritage house but was constructed in the 1980s according to historical accurateness, from the roof beams down to the floor tiles.
