Become Elite's Tutorial on How to Lace a Soccer/Football on the ground with accuracy and pace!
Lacing a ball on the ground means that you strike the ball with your laces in such a way that it skims over the ground, sometimes this kick is referred to as a worm burner or a driven ball.
Overview:
1. Approach the ball at a 45 degree angle
2. Plant your foot as you normally would, pointed at your target
3. Turn your knee in and keep it over the ball as you strike through
4. Make contact with the toe/bottom of the laces on your foot.
5. Strike the ball so that there is a little backspin and it skims across the ground
6. Follow through and stay over it to keep the ball low.

You are a true motivation Matt. Seeing you progressing day by day since i've joined your channel. I work so hard everyday just like you to be a professional footballer, but sometimes i feel like i'm just improving not progressing to another level. But then i think about you, the way you kept on hustling through your bad days and then you're finally rewarded. brother if you want to be on another level as a footballer. You would be aware of it too, it is tactics and reading of the game. Learning how to function as a unit and tactical basic approach to - defending, attacking, counter pressing, set pieces and other elements of the game that make up the modern game. With these knowledge your technique will be of a great asset during the gameplay and have a Professional like mentality towards the game. Few players i see focus only on the technique side unknowingly. Good luck and hope you're an asset to your team brother. learn the basics of how to function as a unit, 11players together and master your role in it - positioning in relation to your teamates while your team is in possession and positioning yourself while your team doesn't have the ball. tc

Matt, I thank God for the excellent job you do with these videos and appreciate the detailed breakdown. I've been having trouble with keeping the soccer ball from hooking and keeping it low and you addressed that in the troubleshooting.

Nice tutorial, You might want to be careful using this move on a 1 touch pass. If you take atleast 2 to grab control of it that is more ideal. That is just because when the ball is coming in it is hard to keep the ball from having some rotation. When it hits the ground(even if it is just 6") it will spin off in some random direction making it harder to catch. As a right winger I know how hard it is to catch that.

i'd love to see you do a video on a driven shot! I have larger feet, so i can't physically do a "toes down, hit it with the laces" type of shot. my toes will drag in the dirt if i do.

+dkurtz786 No, you're wrong. You can't do it, because you haven't trained enough to learn how. I wear size 11 and I have teammates who wear up to size 15, they can all easily kick the ball with that style. How do you think pros that wear size 13 and bigger kick the ball. You're toe isn't straight down beneath you it's off to the side. I'll do a driven shot tutorial, but please don't ever use the excuse of having big feet again.

it is the same. just different names. eg. for a kunckle shot, here in my area we also call it the bullet shot or power shot. Just synonyms for the same technique from the player and output on the ball. Hope it helps. Refer to "F2" channel. The title of the video being- football dictionary.

So do you hit the ball at the middle of the ball or bottom

I'm between the middle and the bottom. Too much in the middle and it will be a line drive. To much in the bottom and it'll be a chip. Split the difference.
