The Dichotomy of Leadership is one of my favorite books and is exactly what you're talking about. Jocko and Leif do a great job of outlining you need to trust but you need to take extreme ownership. If you haven't read it, start with Extreme Ownership and then follow it up with the complimenting Dichotomy of Leadership both by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin. I'm a huge fan and read both once or twice a year.

Thank you. Thank you is all I can say. This is only the beginning and the battle is on in my head. I hear the fight as if it is physically happening behind me. Stop breath pray and praise. Thank you for starting a war for my soul. I’m not perfect and I’m not ready but that’s why your podcast helps me Realize I’m not alone.

Dang Had to come back here to comment after watching AND assessing my natural leadership bend and those I need to work on across the places I'm privileged to lead . I feel like I just had a strategic session with a world class performance Psychologist especially for leaders. I've watched and followed almost ALL of CGs podcasts BUT I dare say this series is among my top 3 if not number 1. All of this to say THANK YOU. This content is priceless. And I've not even read the book YET Thank you Craig

I was listening to lead like it matters and in chapter 8 you mentioned that you're pursuing a new venture that you're not talking about yet. If it has anything to do with developing coaches and trainers for churches to help them develop their leadership, cultural values, relationships and more I want in😃 I am a trained coach and have a deep desire to see ministry leaders succeed and the people they lead deepen their faith so please let's chat.

I was just reading an article on ESPN about Nick Saban's 2015 coaching staff at Alabama. Several of his assistants then are now head coaches at the top football programs in the country. I'm curious to know if you have ever spoken with and even done an interview with Nick Saban - he sounds like someone who knows how to develop leaders!

Jesus being fully God and fully man isn't two opposite extremes though. We are made in the image of God, so we are His reflections, not the antithesis of Him. Craig talks a lot about "closing the gap" but this teaching shows more that good leaders "span the gaps" so that they are no longer problems.

I would like results from me to my team. Leadership is me serving people. With God, I would like to be effective with results.
