Hi Dr Varkhede, Thank you so much ! There are fields that are a bit easier to apply for as their eligibility criteria is attainable. If you satisfy the criteria, you can definitely apply. The entire process might be long but not tough. i.e: Medicine, paeds, ED, and GP are some of the fields you find a lot of IMGs entering.

Will I be able to get into BPT training as soon as I get general registraion at the end of one year on partial registration. or do I have to work one year more after getting general registration? Hi Dr Nikhil Yes and it’s towards the college and not the hospital. It’s similar to BPT, you will have to check their eligibility criteria and should be working in a hospital that is recognised for training. Then you apply to the college when the applications open up. Hope this helps KP Balan

Which country to choose so tht i hav probabily better chances of getting into radiology residency with any support of any consultant who already working there ... @@pnikhil4911 hi Dr Nikhil Unfortunately I am not really aware of the situation in UK and then possibilities there at the moment especially since the economy has been so unstable. As for AUS it is a competitive field and it depends on your publications, CV, rotations you have done and also the referees you have worked here in the hospital. Knowing any friends and family doesn’t get you into the college for training. It only sometimes helps you with getting a job after the clinical exams. I guess it would be best if you had a chat with someone in UK, who can shed a bit more light on the current training in UK and then assess the situation.
