This past weekend was a very special one for me...
Over the past two months I have been asking Filipino's from all over the country to tell me something they LOVE about where they are from!? Something that makes them feel proud of where they live?! Something that makes them proud to be Filipino!
Well this past weekend I had the opportunity to share what makes me proud of my home with five of my friends from Canada and New Zealand!
Being able to share my passion for my home in the Philippines, Cagayan de Oro with my foreign friends makes me proud. It makes me proud to say I live in this amazing country! It makes me proud to be taking this journey towards #BecomingFilipino!

Thumbdowners or downthumbers, I don't know why you thumb down this video. This is a Canadian that has showcased the Phiippines for free, better than your expensive actors/actresses that won't lift a finger unless they're paid the big bucks. We should be grateful for this guy, unless you are a person with no life of his own and just jealous of what 'kulas' and his friends are doing....

Hear hear. Nothing to not like really about this video. We should be happy that foreigners are promoting The Philippines in such a positive way. There is alot this country has to offer the world and the culture needs to be promoted.

I miss CDO. I am from Canada but Filipino by marriage. It is my wife's hometown. I have been there twice and I cant wait to return. Hopefully we can live there some day. I love it there, have lot's of family there so much fun! Tagay Pa!!

As a bisdak from Cagayan de Oro, this video made me realize where have I been all this time. Growing up, school-house -malls and out-of-town trips. Never tried water rafting or tried sikwate in the market. I'm going to Cogon and have hot choco there first thing in the morning! Thank u, Kulas!

That's cool man! 'Yan ang Filipino, marunong magkamay... I think that's one ability Pinoys bear when they travel to small towns, they join the people as they eat as a community with their bare hands (because often there aren't enough spoons.)

Cagayan de Oro, my beautiful hometown! Thank you for showcasing it and calling it your own. I have traveled to many beautiful places around the world - Maui, Grand Cayman, Turks and Caicos, Algarve, Santorini, Costa Del Sol, Cote d’Azur, to name a few - but CDO is special and the town people are the most hospitable in the world! Oftentimes you have to see the outside world to appreciate how great you have it already where you are - I hope my kababayans get to see it this way... And on very rare times, you get to have foreign tourists like Kulas discover this hidden gem and promote it to the whole world. (Now I am re-discovering my hometown.) Keep doing what you are doing Kulas!

Hope you can visit pampanga also!!! 2 hours after manila...taste all uniques foods!!! Continue inspire foreigner and filipinos also to love the country.
