This is an interesting video, and the heat DOES really kill the bed bugs. But remember, heat rises and the bed bugs closest to the molding on the wall will EXIT under the molding to get up into the wall and avoid being killed. Then, they will come back as soon as the heat is gone, and a meal is available. This is even worse if you have carpeting under the molding, which protects the bugs from the heat. Failures of heat treatment occur when the bugs escape into the wall. In order to prevent this from happening, you need to BAIT the molding with powder to kill them as they try to escape, or at least follow up a heat treatment with molding treatment next to the bed. And take off the electrical covers and treat the boxes. Same with cable or telephone connectors. If you live in a condo or apartment with shared walls, they will colonize your neighbors and vice versa. Most drywall does not seal perfectly. Bed bugs can easily get into it and around it. HEAT RISES. There is insulation in the wall that protects them. Failures of heat treatments occur because they colonize the walls during the treatment. If you don't spend time to bait the walls behind and next to your bed, you will still get bitten. Some people bait with DE. I prefer Harris powder. It is more efficient and lasts longer. I used to have them when i lived in london they smell awful when you squash them so dont squash them near your face stomp on them bedbugs are the reason why i dont want to live in apartment buildings cause once some idiot buys a mattress or a sofa off a random guy on ebay for a suspiciously cheap price the whole building will be taken over by them in a week

When i used to treat bed bugs the matteress and bed were turned up abd any other furniture the same,used to do a 7hr heat treatment.

Steaming is good because its so sudden and hot they don't have time to hide or adapt . Gradual heating pushes them to seek cool.

Bed bugs are hitch-hiking masters. How do you know that you're not carrying these home ? Do you spray down with chemical before you leave the treated house?

I found multi treatment works best. So chemical, then after a few are dead powder. Steaming. Then chemical. Pretty much like getting rid of Covid. You need a multi facetted approach.

I would've tossed that mattress out in bulk trash! I work in an assisted living facility and people have bedbugs there all the time! I think steam is the ultimate way to go!

I got them in February. I had hives all over. I reacted so extremely we were ready to take me to e.r.. finally yesterday after months of trying to eradicate them ourselves we paid for heat treatment. Apartment was very hot on our return home. But we survived. I hope they are gone for good

I paid $4200 for a heat treatment for my entire house. It failed. They came out and did a heat treatment on the room where I am getting bit. It failed. Now what do I do. the technicians keep giving me the run around. They even went so far as to tell me i have heavy metal poisoning or that I reinfected the house. I never stopped being bitten and have not stopped calling them. They promised it was guaranteed

Not well done. Stand up mattress and box spring, expose bed frame and put all items of clothing in the dryer. Strip room as much as possible. Should have vacuumed them first, then sprayed with chemicals, then steamed the rest. Do this every week till they are gone. That's how I got rid of my problem.

My God. I react insanely to one bite. I literally would probably die from an allergic reaction if I slept in that bed. My throat would probably close. One night in that bed has to be hundreds of bites. I had one bug bite me 10 times in a perfect line on my leg. My leg was swollen to the point of pain I had to take steroids. Then after a couple days the itching is like 10x a mosquito bite. I literally want to dig my flesh out.

I am currently trying to dight bed bugs. My daughter has severe reactions! My son has nothing. And I get a few every now and then. I had my apartment treated and they assured me "one treatment should be enough". Lying piles of crap (excuse my language). I am seriously considering a full heat treatment for my apartment but it is spendy :( Thank you for these videos! I wanted visual confirmation if treatment really worked. I also wanted to see them in action since I have only had minimal visual confirmations.

I wish I had one of these.. it took me 6 months just to get those fuckers out of my bedroom.. but then they got into the living room couch.. so we bombed and sprayed for months.. thought we were rid of them.. then one day, "oh look, more" And its hard to tell, because I dont sit in there, my father does, and he doesnt react to the bites.. no itching, welts,nothing. -_-

2 bed bugs produce a million mine started id feel my rist get bit thought it was masqeto and kept hapening it wasent tell every where i noticed them and suspected somthis so i was spraying first and couldent see them
