When I was child I would often play and climb around the ruins of Petra. To this day on of my favorite things, in my entire life was going up to the monastery and while standing in the sweat spot in that amazing hall I would often hum amazing grace or the lords prayer and make the whole mountain resonate. I miss my homeland.

I think that Bedouin are so underrated.. I could hear during each track of the set their signature. The buildup, the melodies, the groove… Everything is synchronized and aiming towards the same direction in an emotional harmonic and very smooth way! Congrats @Bedouin for this masterpiece that describes you and your roots perfectly and of course @Cerle is the cherry on top with this world-class video-edit!!

As a professional photographer I had the privilige of spending 4 days with the Bedouin of Petra. Just returned two days ago from this amazing experience and I am now editing my almost 3.500 photos with this amazing set on my second monitor.... To all the local boys there: thanks guys, I had a lot of fun (and tea!)

Like many others, I headed to Petra while traveling. We got the two day pass. One day isn't enough. Two barely is. It's huge. There's also a three day pass. The first night, people are hanging out in the main room of the hostel, and a host offered to put in a movie. Someone asked if you have Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. He said yes, so we all pretty much agreed that would be fun to watch. Someone asked the host if he'd ever seen it before. He said yes, last night. It's what people pick every night. We laughed at ourselves.

I discovered this randomly while spray-painting mural on my fence on the opposite side of the globe from this location. Today, I spoke with my art students about the effect of music on art making. We then cruised Google Earth to see the location. I LOVE THIS MUSIC to the depth of my soul!

man alive! i was lucky enough to visit here a few years back and get a private tour with the Bedouins that live in the old caves at old petra. Absolutely breathtaking..... the ancestors will have been rocking it big time with the sound coming from the canyons! well done, truly amazing.
