The contrast between before/after is stunning - so fresh, clean and surprising gentle with the colour palette, artwork and plants. I know where I'm getting a new bed when I need one! x

The room looks beautiful and the bed with that beautiful blue headboard really gives a nice pop of color to the room. Great job on the furniture and the desk looks perfect. What a great place to rest your head, just so elegant.

I love the modern trend of light colored wood. However, the richer wood tones you have here work SO well in your Victorian home. Truly lovely job. I definitely hope you go with a patterned curtain. Again, I think it would be the perfect nod to your home’s history.

Honesty those floorboards are an absolute labour of love masterpiece! Ollie really excelled with them, I’ve personally never seen anyone do such an amazing job on original floor boards, I mean it’s a bit of an insult to even call them floorboards, even if that is what they are!

I absolutely love how that room is so bright and cheerful it is stunning. I think you need maybe one more shelf on the wall where the vanity table is. i think it all came together fantastic. Well done Laura and Oliver. You both make a wonderful team.

This makes me want to build a Victorian-inspired home instead of an MCM home. What an amazing result and this is not even the master bedroom.

Your room is spectacular Laura. All yourself and Ollie's hard work has certainly paid off. Would some matching antique mirrors above your bedside cabinets not look lovely and leave above your bed blank so as to show off that amazing royal blue bed and headrest? Really think you both should be so proud at what you have accomplished in your home. You have stayed true to the Victorian heritage and have sympathetically updated it for modern living. xx 🥰💖🔥😍

Wow! How wonderful! This room is so beautiful and you and Ollie have done an amazing job - it has such a peaceful aura. I know it’s been a lot of really hard work but it’s been so worth it. I’m in awe of your restoration work on the furniture and it works so well. I think the fact that you don’t have ‘matching sets’ of anything is the aesthetic that I truly love as it gives the whole house such originality and a unique quality. A huge bravo!👏🏽👏🏽🧡💛🌻

To distinguish one white set from another I just sew a little coloured embroidery thread in the bottom two corners. I came across your renovation project and from what I have seen you have made a very professional job of this.

Such a restful room! I've really enjoyed watching the process and now seeing the end result. Thanks for sharing. The only thing I'm confused about is that you have bedside sconces AND bedside lamps. I guess I normally think of just one or the other. It's beautiful, though. 😊

Thanks for watching! One of the lights is much brighter, so sort of a reading light and the one with a shade is lovely low light, not practical if you need to see. I really just love the style too though. It’s definitely not needed 😆

Beautiful…..fresh, crisp feeling. Wonderful look of Victorian style, done simply, not heavy. Artful collection of prints and ornaments. Can’t say enough….it’s a work of art actually.

Ohhh just caught a glimpse of the bed! Beautiful!💖💝💐 PS. I love it as is Laura and Ollie...the relove of the furniture is great. I am sure you are aware you can buy 'black out' material ...I often find 'end of roll' bargains for such jobs. The room is so elegant and I love the contrasting deep blue and mahogany stain of the floor and the furniture. 👏💖💝💐🥳🌟

I just had a thought about the plugs/switch that is behind the white dresser/console. What about an extension lead that your guests can use for all their electrical goods? They might bring their own hairdryers!!! Just a thought!! I enjoy your videos and look forward to them. 🌸🇨🇮

It is much more convenient and makes the room more open, however most old houses, mine included have the doors opening the other way so as to provide privacy to the occupiers, so if you knock and open the door, you won’t see them in bed or undressing etc. Similarly, the ceiling light is usually off centre, so you are generally behind the light whilst undressing to again protect your modesty!

I bought a new bed from Button and Sprung on your recommendation (when you were choosing samples I had a look on their website). The bed is the comfiest I’ve ever slept in and I am so pleased to have supported this UK business, would you believe that we had the same delivery men? A beautiful room- what a brilliant achievement for you both. I think a blind in a blue print, to compliment the Pooky shades and headboard, would finish off the room wonderfully. This bedroom is so lovely !!! It was such a transformation!!! The old doors are made so well. We live in a newer ( 27 yr old) home and all the interior doors are cored out hollow and not solid wood. Restoring an older home is a lot of work but so worth !!

I'm a new subscriber. What an amazing makeover! I'm also a retired airline employee from Texas, USA. I've traveled all over and prefer to stay in Bed & Breakfast establishments. I've visited London twice and stayed in a B&B both times. It was clean and cosy. Your space is stunning. It looks like a room in an upscale boutique hotel. Absolutely beautiful!
