One of the most beautiful songs ever written. Recorded at a time when the Bee Gees were just Barry and Maurice. Robin had quit the group after a dispute over the previous album Odessa, but rejoined later. The song is from the Cucumber Castle album.

It is 2024 now and I am 77 years old and this song by the BeeGees still gives me the goosebumps and still tugs my heart string with nostalgic memories when I first heard the song playing in the jukebox in one of our Suva City restaurants way back about 60 years ago in 1967.

Difficult to hear It in '67, it came from the Film and Album "Cucumber Castle" from 1970. Robin had left at this point and it was just Barry and Maurice. It was where Maurice met Lulu before he married her.

Many THANKS for your kind words , we were just coming up for sharing 50 years together and after spending nearly all day Christmas shopping my dear wife passed away in her sleep , the hardest thing to get over is not been able to tell her what a wonderful wife she had been and we had a marriage that a lot of people could only dream of . I was there 12yrs ago. Talking through experience take one day at a time. Let go and let God. The memories will always be there but the pain, you'll learn to live by it until one day you will not feel anymore... Pray pray pray( as a believer) and do not be left alone. If you have grandchildren they can help you in your journey of healing. At anytime you feel like crying or shouting, do it . Don't control your emotions. 😻😻

Our brother was the No 1 Bee Gees Fan. Sadly he gained his wings Feb. 16th, just 6 months after our Sister. This song was played at his funeral. I miss him so so much, just like our sister. I will never forget to remember. 💙❤️

I'm in my mid 50's now. I loved this song hearing it occasionally in the FM band in the 70's though as a kid I didn't understand the meaning. It even got more meaning to me now that a number of people I have been associated with are already gone.

I'm 67 and always followed the Bee Gees. Way back when records were "the thing" I played many records. But one of my most " treasured memories" was when my Dad said he loved this song. Matt Munro was his taste and I've long since returned his favour....he died way back in 1993.
