You see their level of talent when it comes to performing by how relaxed they are chatting and then breaking into incredible harmony. Robin just looks like he's relaxing at home then begins to sing apparently with no effort at all, his expression barely changes - incredible stuff.

I was in the US Marine Corps from 1974 to 1980. I was stationed in Japan for three years, 1975 to 1978. There was a Marine in our barracks who purchased a really nice sound system. You could get high quality stereo and sound systems for a really good price. Every morning at around 5:30, he would play the Bee Gees with the volumn turned up, it would make the thin metal wall lockers vibrate. The barracks housed about 30 Marines in an open "squad bay". No body complained about the loud music. We all enjoyed waking up to the Bee Gees.

The amazing thing is that after their 60's success with Massachusetts and the like, they disappeared from the main stream only to completely re invent themselves in the mid 70's ,They took Disco music to a new level and become MORE famous as a result. I can't think of any band/artiste that has done that; even Bowie's re inventions weren't as complete as the Bee Gees.

Sheila Eccles: I keep coming back to different interviews to watch and I'm never sure why. But I think you identified it, their interviews were just fun to listen to and besides we get to listen to those acoustic gems that they sing. Love It.

May,I so agree. Also,Robin's solo work,as One Million Years,Never Been Alone,Kathy's Gone,Saved By the Bell, are all testaments of Robin's ability alone, but they were best and happiest together.Massachusetts totally blew me away in the first two lines in 1967,and I loved Robin forever, and it's 2020 now.His voice never changed, and indeed got even better throughout his life.

It never ceases to amaze me how much the beauty of their voices always seemed to flow so easily and naturally from them. Thanks for posting this great interview, WebTwinkle. And thank you to Robin, and all your brothers, for all the beautiful music and memories you gave to me and millions of others all over the world. You will be loved and missed forever.

I was lucky enough to hear the vocal tracks ALONE on a Bee Gees song, ...easily as good or better than the Beach Boys. Just amazing. The skill is easy to dismiss, in this day and age...but seriously...The BeeGees earned all they had and have and even more.

The Gibb brothers together were great interview subjects. Very warm and funny, nothing like the pop superstars you might expect. This Parkinson interview was in '81. Robin was apparently in big trouble with his marriage at the time and acting weird. Maurice was really struggling with his booze addiction. None of that's apparent in this interview. They were great guys -- RIP Robin and Maurice.
