@Rain Murphy The same thing happened to my mum. It's extremely hard to diagnose the problem. We waited all day and nothing was done. There was a shift change and a new doctor walked in, took a quick look at her chart and she was operated on very soon after. He obviously had experience to pick up on the problem so quickly. Had Maurice been diagnosed he would have survived. I always feel very sad saying that. He was far too young to die at what is thought to be one of the best hospitals. I wouldn't say it was painful. Mum was bleeding internally and having seizures. It was extremely painful for us watching her and waiting for someone to do something. I'm sorry to hear about your step sister. I hope something can be done to help her.

I just LOVE this song! It is Mo at his most open, vulnerable best! Knowing how he struggled and overcame the disease that nearly killed him and then wrote this song to his family, it gives you a look into Mo's very heart, his being sorry and wanting to make amends. It is a brave song, a man facing his sins and being sorry for them all. That is what makes it my favorite BeeGees song, even over Robin's haunting "Rings Around the Moon." They are BOTH pure musical genius, both love songs to their respective wives. We were so blessed to share the same planet with the BeeGees! Maurice was the mediator between Robin and Barry. Robin was very competitive with Barry due to jealousy. I saw an interview where Maurice made a reference about being the man in the middle and he said it was the story of his life. Robin was very moody based on what I've read and heard. I don't think they would have all stayed together as a group and lasted if it hadn't been for Maurice

So very true. As Barry said in an interview he talked about not getting along at their times of death so when you take strong A personalities like Barry and Robin they would butt heads. And as said he was the man in the middle which would make better sense on this song if he would have been in the middle and put Robin on the end opposite of Barry

There's a lovely clip on KZfaq of the two of them singing a duet on the TV show an Audience with Lulu years after they divorced. They sing really well together and you could see they had a good relationship. It's a lovely clip.

I think the deal with the brothers was whoever came up with the idea got the lead vocals. I read that in a recent interview of Barry.

He was probably the most talented of the brothers! He could play keyboards, bass, and sing baritone, and did all of the arraignments! Plus he never stopped loving LULU!

Unfortunately, he blew it being drunk for 20 years. So, wonderfully talented, a beautiful soul❤
