I think it's because they dont want to get the attention or become viral and stuff like that, so they keep the distance in public. Fans and antis are uncontrollable. Let take Xiaozhan's case as an example. The gov is trying to limit BL drama production too and use celebrities' scandals to divert public's attention. Once you become viral/popular, the gov will track you down.

@@lalahams9041 I totally agree with you. The way all the BL actors are targeted, I get scared all the time for these boys.. They get super popularity one night, then next day those antifans and some really jealous people put them down.. I just hope all the boys who are doing bl dramas, stay strong. We don't need extra fanservice, we just want them safe... And there are definitely some malicious people who are trying hard to stop BL drama production.. Hope those people get what they deserve..
