Here is a video to show how we are pruning our Beefsteak Tomatoes, Dropping our trellised Cucumber plants, and how thing are coming along here at the farm.
It's another hot day, and we have to try to beat the heat. So much to do, but thought we would bring you along for a bit of the day!
The varieties of Beefsteak Tomatoes we are growing are BIGDENA aINSPIRE, From Paramount seeds in Florida.
Wayne and I will be doing a video on Sunday to show you what we are using for nutrients, and compare our soil Raised Bed Beefsteak tomatoes to our Hydroponic Beefsteak tomatoes.
ENJOY!

I just came in from pruning & tying tomatoes. I started this way of growing back in the 80's. I use Jetsetter for early crop & Arbason for main crop. I am in southern MN. Started harvesting Jetsetter's two weeks ago. They don't get huge, but lots of production. I was working on the Arbason's this morning. To hot to stay out there any longer. I also plant them directly in the ground. This year we covered all the tunnel floors with black ground cover fabric. Burned holes to plant in. So far no weeds anywhere. Yeah! Thanks for the video. I plant a cucumber in the field to pick for small dills. I found a variety that is all female. No pollination needed. Production is just crazy.

Guys you are doing such a fantastic job at your business, kudos goes out to Haley and Jess for the work they are doing. Wish I was a little younger to be able to start something like this. I have been growing my own plants since about 1993 and I guess when its in your blood to grow it just happens. Again great work, love to watch your videos. Couldnt believe the amount of tomatoes relative to the size of your plants, super. I am from the west but hope everybody in your area realizes how much work you guys put into your business and support you 150%. Good luck stay safe.

Absolutely awesome. We’re on our second year and have so much to learn still with tomatoes. We grow in the fields and had the prettiest tomatoes we’ve ever had this year, until we got 12” of rain in 3 days. We didn’t have them tied up enough or something bc it just beat them all drown bad. Then stink bugs, then looked like calcium deficiency. We used a new farm we just leased this spring bc it has a huge pond and land had been laid out for quite a few years, but didn’t have time to really soil test and correct like we should’ve. Live and learn though. We still have got a huge amount of harvest though. Just would’ve been 3 times what we got had we been better prepared. Really enjoy yalls vids. We farm around 800 acres of row crops and got sick of losing money doing that, so we started w the produce 3 years ago, first year was experimenting, last two years has been pretty good bc we have our own store on farm. We buy a lot of stuff wholesale too, but really want to blow it out w tomatoes next year bc that’s good money if you can produce all of our own. We’ve sold over 50 bushels of tomatoes in past two days!!! Corn, beans, peas, peppers, cucs etc we can sell like crazy bc everyone here still cans and freezes stuff for winter. Anyways, thanks to y’all and again awesome job

I'm glad I came across your youtube channel and saw what you do in order to make good harvest, next month I will start planting cucumber maybe just a few for a start, I'm still learning how to grow them and get an alternative of the tools you are using in your greenhouse here in the Philippines we don't need greenhouses I think. Everything looks great! Thank you for sharing. What is the flavor of the tomatoes? I mean, do they taste like they came straight from the garden /homegrown or do they taste like a greenhouse tomato? I love that tomatoes are self pollinating and will be checking into that self pollinating slicer cucumber that you grow as well.....just not as many =) Very impressed with your production though. I'm a first time gardener so I'm learning but love how organized everything is and thinking that I may be able to string up tomatoes and cucumbers as well....possibly. Have you ever grown Lemon Cucumbers?
