Bees will do what bees wanna do. All these years, we still cannot understand the bees. This that and the other thing. Just be thankful that God gave you time with bees. Thanks for all your advice.

Thanks for the tips and advice on another great video Dave! On the topic of whether the queen lays eggs in the queen cells or do the workers move the eggs? My theory or logic is that the workers move the eggs. If you think about it, the workers create empty swarm and emergency cells all the time on the frames, if the Queen were to constantly lay eggs in them, then wouldn't you have new queens hatching all the time? No, you don't, only during swarming season, congestion or emergency. So it would make sense the the queen cells stay empty until one of the 3 situations happens, and then the workers either move the eggs or very young larva into the queen cells, pack it with Royal jelly, then seal it for the new queen to develop.

Ran into a situation I have never encountered last night. I pulled capped frame of honey to dig out with a spoon to get the honey. However when doing so, we found pollen under the honey. Capped both in the same cells.

Ha David enjoyed your video, I while back I had asked you a question on the bees getting water, I seen or read that one of the signs of a nectar flow is if the bees are not getting water because the nectar has lots of water in it so they have to draw it down well we are in a dearth now and I am feeding 2 gal buckets on the hives trickle feeding to help encourage the queen to not stop laying giving pollen as well. anyway, the syrup is less then 1-1, and I noticed my bees are not hitting the water and it is in the high 90s here do you think this is why. Thanks, hope you and your wonderful wife have a nice weekend.

Thank you for all the information, patience, and easy explanation you have for everything. I have been watching a lot of your videos the past couple days. This is my first year keeping bees. I am looking at expanding my hives next year. I have been thinking about building a bee house with AZ hives on one wall. Do you have any experience with them or thoughts about them?

Great info as always. my question is, can you remove spotty brood patterns and replace with good brood frames from another hive to encourage the queen to lay better patterns?

One more question... :D What do you do for a brood bound hive? I've got a queen who's laying like a maniac. Do I add a 3rd deep or feed so they can rear the brood or just let it ride? I haven't been able to find much info on it. I got this nuk from my mentor over the summer and I'll just say, I'm wanting more of these guys. They have strong genetics. Drew out a deep box in a week when I first got them haha
