I'm surprised it took this long for you to get your Beeline Moto. I ordered one after listening to your podcast and received mine sometime last year. BTW, it works very well and I really like the Compass Mode! Only thing I don't really like about it is when turning on/off you need to push the yellow button for 5-7 seconds!

Thanks for the review. Considering one of these for my R Nine T. How fast does it discharge your phone battery?

Drain on the phone seems to be negligible - maybe an additional 6-8% over the course of a full day on the bike.

I have one of these for 8 months and I use Huawei p20 Pro that has an amazing battery ...... So I can tell you that the beeline is really battery hungry on the phone . Even on a 4 hour journey .... so much so that I carry a little power pack for my phone to charge it back up .. . . Apart from that it's a really smart little device.

It shows that you can buy additional chargers for £10.00 on the website. I'm interested in this also, but hoping for Qi charger (and of course it would easily be water proof then).

Yes - 100% correct - at the time I made this video (last year), they were not yet available.

Still I am not sure what this device for. Correct me if I am wrong. I mount my phone with wireless charger mount on my bike. Have the google map or apple map. My phone is connected to my headset with voice guidance. In case someone call me I can still see who is calling me and answer or decline. Turn by turn voice. Why do I need this device. Still using the app on the phone. Still need to be connected to my phone. If I lost my phone or damage my phone this device is useless. What is the point?

It is far more elegant than mounting a giant smartphone on the handlebar, and the target market is people (like me/the unboxer) who don't want to know who's calling when I'm riding and don't want somebody (or something) barking turn orders in my headset. I connect it to my phone and put the phone away - thus also ensuring the phone doesn't get damaged by being mounted on the bike, and in case of a crash it's guaranteed to be within reach.

@@BMWMOAorg All can be done with Garmin GPS and you don't have to use your phone at all. At lease you have spare GPS in case you lost your phone or damage it you still you GPS can work without phone. This device is a joke. There are lots of negative reviews related to the way it works especially in the city , their customer service is sucks etc.. I rather have real GPS with full functionality with option to use them or not it will up to me.

@@johnshirbini5801 Not everybody wants a big GPS on their bike - and frankly, a big GPS would ruin the looks of a lot of smaller bikes, which is where the Beeline can be a good solution. It's obviously not for everybody. As for the negative reviews, I've had no problems with mine - in cities or otherwise. I've also had no problems with their customer service. Clearly I'm having a good experience.
