Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, Brian Dawkins, Bob Sanders, Sean Taylor. The 2000s safeties were stacked. 3 HOF, and 2 players if they could have played for longer would be in the HOF.

I never truly stopped to just take in what I was seeing. I watched the greatest defensive duo of all time and best that will ever be play together for a decade plus a bunch. I knew I was watching greatness but man I just want to go back and watch it all over again. Once they retired it just never been the same

21:32 Ravens had one of the OLDEST defenses in the league. Lot of guys on their final journey. The lights went off for over an hour. All their energy got sapped. That superbowl should have been an absolute blowout.

The best that ever did it. Absolutely robbed of a second DPOY in 2008 because Jared Allen got 20 sacks but Reed was unreal in the last half of the year. Week 11- Week 17 he had 8 interceptions with one returned for a touchdown, 2 forced fumbles, one of which he recovered himself and returned for a touchdown and 2 sacks. And in the Wild Card round he had another two picks and one touchdown. Thats 11 takeaways in 8 games with 3 touchdowns. I don't think you will ever see a DB put up a stretch run like that ever again
