With Beethoven through Liszt and Fazioli this slender joyous girl takes us to the mountain-top of music, where we stand amazed, immersed in the shining stars, which are the thoughts of God.

Great pianists do not merely play a piano for us; they are, as here, fully immersed in the music; they enable the piano to speak to us with the voice of the composer. Marta Czech here enables a magnificent Fazioli to speak with the voice of Beethoven as heard by Liszt.

What a wonderful achievement. I heard Liszt gave up many times while trying to arrange this symphony, I can only imagine trying to learn it.. Be proud.

Dear Martha, while many young pianists chase fame and applause around the world, I see a great Brilliant pianist in you making quiet dedications to the artistry of classical piano music... I listened to Bach's Art of Fugue and Well Tempered Clavier and Beethoven's sonatas you played and enjoyed them immensely! As one of the other listeners commented, I find myself "glued" to your playing as well, making me come back again and again, wanting to listen more from you... My hat off to you, Marta!!!

Bravissimo, Maestra ❤. Alle Menschen werden Brüder, wo dein sanfter Flügel weilt…

You are an incredible talent! You really deserve much more attention than what we see here in youtube at the moment now. Actually, I dropped some tears thinking that maybe the greatest talents of all times were all lost to oblivion because attention was not always at the right place.

So many beautiful nuances (that would've gotten lost in a more rushed interpretation)... For not playing excessively fast for the sake of virtuosity and bringing forth those exquisite details, you've earned my loyal following.

This was Beethoven's prayer for peace and love among men and women. Somehow the far quieter piano version turns that into a more introspective meditation. Utterly moving. Boundless gratitude to the pianist for all those countless hours of practice that has led to the possibility of sharing with us all.

Marta, this was simply glorious! I do not mind confessing that I found myself conducting from my sofa here, my arms flailing into the air, while smiling throughout this video. I'm also enjoying your technique. I'm learning alot from watching you play. You made the Fazioli sing beautifully! I imagine Herr Beethoven would be well pleased with your musicianship!

Marta Czech succeeds in showing us Beethoven’s genius in a different light, where the ultimate instrument, the symphony orchestra, is replaced by the transparency of the piano. The result is fascinating, not only the sheer act of reproduction of this monstrous work straight from a single brain (sometimes I had the impression that either Marta has four hands, or Liszt was sitting next to her), but by giving us a glimpse into the unfathomable composition process from the nucleus to full instrumentation of this magnum opus. Thank you, Marta.

Truly great pianist! Today listened both the Hammerklavier and Kunst der Fuge played by Marta Czech - became glued to youtube and couldn't do anything else. Cannot understand why Marta Czech isn't more widely known by now. Probably in the 21st century in order to get to Carnegie or Royal Albert Hall one has to play mainly composers like Rachmaninov.

This performance actually brought tears to my eyes, which is unusual. Your playing is so musical! It's like every phrase is being sung, even sections which you ordinarily wouldn't think of as lyrical, like the B-flat major double fugue in the last movement. I'm going to try to imitate your style in my own playing.

Bravo! Thank you for your excellent performance! I have two CDs of "Op.125 symphony 9" by List version, of "Kastalis" and "Chihiro Tan" (Japanese female). Since about 1965 years in Japan, elder people used to discuss "Which do you like Fortwengler or Kalayaan?", it means a sort of probleme of tempo, I felt so. My favorite conductor is Hans Schmitt Isselshtett. "grandeur d' imagination bien expendu by Beethoven. and construction of this work(op.125) by video movie. Each chapter had much charms and I can't write all of them here. Every time I'm surprised at your ability of concentration , powerful energy, and fidelity and respect for the composer. I add that I didn't at all be sleepy at 3rd chapiter. it was indeed beautiful, melody was beautiful and strings's piciccato expression was bien tempered.

Thank you Ms. Czech! Heuet: Das Gegenteil... Bach, Mozart, Beethoven e tutti quanti ÜBERALL ... im Fahrstuhl, im städtischen Omnibus ( ja, ja , ja ) etc. p.p. Was sollen da noch Klavierauszüge?

It is almost beyond belief that a mere mortal can do this; I truly wonder if either Beethoven or Liszt could have duplicated this feat from memory. Ms. Czech has proven herself to be, at least, their peer. To analyze the graces or other of this miracle would be arrogant beyond measure. One can only bow at the feat of such a great artist. What is next, operas and masses, or original masterworks? Bravissima, Ms. Czech (although that seems way too little). You have left me speechless.
@riri28037 ай бұрын
Beethoven and Liszt can sight read, duh?
@BernardGreenberg7 ай бұрын
@@riri2803 Sight-reading means playing something while seeing it for the first time. Ms. Czech is not reading anything. Creating a credible piano arrangement of a symphony can not be done seeing it the first-time, either. I wonder, do you play piano? Do you have any idea what is involved in creating a credible piano piece of gigantic symphony, let alone memorizing it?
@riri28037 ай бұрын
@@BernardGreenberg If you can sight read, you can play through memory. That's pretty much obvious. Asking about if Liszt or Beethoven can play this through memory is stvp33d if you know what you're talking about.
