I wish that Beethoven called this a Nocturne. Then, this work would be way more popular and known as Beethoven's Nocturne.

I didn't know he'd written any preludes!

Sounds so baroque

Beethoven perhaps wrote this when he went to meet Mozart in Vienna around 1787.

very fresh to classical, the motif is a back and fourth trade off of arpeggios between left and right hand with the harmony being sprinkled on the down beats with the hand not arpeggiating? There are more but thats what im getting after first listen.

Funny that I see you under a random video again! Are you surprised because of Beethoven's style in this composition?

@@tarikeld11 Wow, I can't believe how many similar things we watch, this video only has 4000 views! Yes, I'm very surprised, it's so Bachian that I would not think twice if someone told me this was straight out of the Well Tempered Clavier. I actually checked both books because I thought it may have been from it.

@@mantictac Yes, I think we should know that a young composer's style is pretty similar to the composer he is inspred by. It really sounds like the Prelude BWV 857, also F minor.

@@tarikeld11 He did very well, I happen to prefer this prelude to BWV 857.

@@mantictac This work is indeed a deep and tragic composition. Not easy to express this without writing lyrical but contrapuntual.
