Technology is such a marvel. KZfaq has brought so many talented musicians into my life that I otherwise never would have known. I grew up in the 70s with a black and white tv with 2 channels. When we changed the channel, we’d have to walk up to the tube tv and push the channel button.

Today I discovered Natalie Schawamova: I'm happy and I thank Natalie and also God to exist! Natalie's art filled me with joy and moved me deeply. There are so many miserable people in the world with a small soul, but fortunately there are also people like Natalie: with a big soul. :)

Fantastique! IMHO and to my very personal taste, absolutely fantastic rendering. Personally I don't think that Beethoven had in mind to have played this work at the velocity that has been the usual standard since long time ago, which has converted it in a kind of tour de force for virtuosi, but in here Mlle. Schwamova not only gets through that challenge brilliantly, really brilliantly IMHO, but still even much more she, differently from some renowned pianists, keeps, or rescues, or makes present, the spirit of Beethoven's music; with other renderings one could say that it is an étude of Lizt, some renderings make it to sound like another Hungarian Rhapsody, in other cases it is played (too) much in a Mozartian way, but the rendering of Mademoiselle makes me to be hearing, from the beginning to end, Beethoven, Beethoven and nothing else than Beethoven at whichever velocity it is played.I am very thankful, very much so, for having had the chance to listen to this.
