Keaton is totally unrecognizable as Beetlejuice. It's like he's a completely different person. That shows how well he played this role and how good the makeup was.

Interesting you see it that way, as I TOTALLY see him clearly in the makeup, his mannerisms, comedic delivery...likely due to how I KNEW of him previously, which was 100% in COMEDIC roles...;)

Joe Waddell For me, he’s the Best Batman (live action) one of the funniest-Scariest actors depending on the story, and I’m sure he’s well respected by many. Lots of people are just blinded by other examples of things he’s done for instance The Dark Knight trilogy. I don’t like those films nearly as much as the Keaton films including the Val Kilmer Batman Film and its Not based on nostalgia, I saw his Batman films after the Dark Knight trilogy in late 2012 and over the years I’ve enjoyed them more and more than the modern Batman films. Also @Rachel. Multiplicity is one of the funniest films I’ve ever seen

There is a depiction of it in Lego dimensions. That's probably the closest your gonna get. Fits in more with the aesthetic of the cartoon as opposed to the movie though.

So glad to see they didn't put music when they're talking to him, so it won't be so distracting. Also as a kid I thought he had super strength when he kicked that tree. Wasn't until I was older I realized it was a toy model town lol

Anyone who says they want Beetlejuice to be more likeable don't understand why he's evil and creepy in the first place. There's plenty of foreshadowing from people in the underworld telling the couple to stay away from him and they don't need his help. Also he obviously does evil things like being creepy, pervy, untrustworthy, and sadistic, he wasn't even supposed to come back in the original version of the movie but the audience loved him so they brought him back in the ending. Some people really miss the point of villains and why you're not really supposed to like them.

I like the cartoon and musical version of him more. And even the final version isn't nearly as bad as the demon version that was trying to rape Lydia. I'm glad it never went that dark. Would be an entirely different movie.

Beetlejuice is a movie you appreciate even more as an adult. Kids can enjoy the silliness of Beetlejuice, but there's so many adult jokes and innuendoes that you miss as a kid.

The crazy part is I watched this soooo many times as a kid and no one said a word to me, and my mom was super religious. It was so dark and rooted in adult comedy, not to mention all of the dead people lol
