Guys, they’re at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco, also the tour is super new. There isn’t everything from the Broadway production since it’s a tour. Like you can’t put a hole/trap door in the bottom of a temporary stage, so they changed the way Adam and Barbara died. Idk why they didn’t use the pig, but it could be because of lack of props. I really don’t know, but I do know that the Beetlejuice tour was INCREDIBLE! Everyone was so talented, and actually, the changes made it more unique and like a new experience. :)

Don't get me wrong, I loved the pig, it was one of my favorite gags in the show. But having Maxine do it is brilliant!

Tours normally or sometimes get props passed down from the actual Broadway show and since Bettlejuice was still running at the time NYC needed the puppet. The tour might get it in the future since Bettlejuice just closed. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I dont think they will get the pig for the tour, they dont have time to change the show while its running. It wasn't there in Detroit that much I know.

Saw it on Sunday and can confirm that there was no pig! Also the sandworm didn’t appear in the opening number, but appeared in other numbers

The original pig cart sat on a track in the Broadway set so I'm guessing that's at least part of the reason they don't have it. Plus just saving precious truck space.

I saw it in Greenville in March, it was SO GOOD! The cast was awesome, and I was worried they wouldn’t match the talent of the original but I was wrong! (Justine Collette did the voice perfect!)

For anyone asking about the pig, they said it would have been too hard to fit it in the storage trucks while moving between destinations so they had to scrap it in an instagram q&a

@@twist_ending7545 I saw the tour a while ago so my memory may be a bit spotty haha but I believe that the line was kept in the show but now just refers to a plate of bacon that “flies” towards her (I believe someone was carrying the plate)

I only saw the on tour version (WHICH WAS AMAZING!!), but what's up with people talking about a pig? What did it do?

The pig would attack Delia in the broadway version of the show. There was a roasted pig that would be rolled in at the beginning of the scene before Maxie and Maxine arrive and during Day-O Lydia would say to Barbara “Barbara the pig” Babs would say “who wants bacon” after which she made the pig come to live to attack Delia with it while Delia would scream “NOO! I’M A VEGAN!!”. The pig would also be the one with the low voice singing “daylight come and me wan’ go home” It was chaos and I loved seeing it hahaha

yes, it's altered to make it easier to move from theatre to theatre

No. I think it’s because of the set being smaller it would have been hard for whoever is moving it to move around without hitting anything so they just scraped it

It's a shame they weren't able to incorporate the pig into the tour. Fortunately, the pig is currently in the cruise production of the show!
