Not sure if you’ll see this comment, since the video is an older video, but this video was amazing!! I’ve struggled with foils and this video has given me the inspiration to want to give it another shot! Also, the fact that you caught the disintegration of the foil from using the regular top coat was perfect and very informative, as I and I’m sure many, had no clue! Finally, the curing process you used and changing it to a minute when it didn’t work, was a game changer, I’ll definitely make a note of those times for my next attempt with foils! So, thank you for your informative and entertaining videos….I learn so much about “tips & tricks, product knowledge and not to mention, great sales! 🤑🤑 Who could ask for more?!? I’ve had great results with the Beetles Foil Glue, pretty much all Beetles products in general actually. I had no idea regular top coat would do that to the foils, love learning these things! TFS! 🤗

Yes same here. I love all of Beetles products. 😍 I was really shocked the regular top coat did that to the foil. I was really trying to put some of my regular polishes to use but I guess they will continue to collect dust for now. Lol. Tfw! 😊

I find that with the beetles foil glue it works perfectly after 30 seconds under the UV even though it says 90 seconds. Also using your hands give you better result, i find the silicone tears the foil! They’re foil glue sucks I ended up buying Young Nails brand and GA&EN foil glues. Foils do make a big difference but if you have those two foil glues I mentioned your foil lays will come out nice! 👍🏼 Amzon is where i purchased the foil glues.

@@RozeBeauty318 You actually applied it the “long way” (correct way). I think the issue was that it wasn’t totally centered on the nail, meaning….length wise, one end had a little extra hanging off the tip, so if it had been applied exactly centered, there was just enough room for the piece of foil to totally cover the nail. So, I was just saying, it was applied correctly lengthwise, it just wasn’t totally centered….which is one thing that can be hard to do, once the foil touches the glue! 😂 haha…did you catch my little rhyme?!? In other words, it’s stuck! 🥴 Anyway, I just wanted to point that out! 😉

I love working with foils. It was a lot of trial and error in the beginning. I am addicted to nail foils. I probably have 1,000 different type of foils. I organized them by wrapping them around a quarter size index card.

Wow, that's quite the collection. 😍 I also love working with foils and don't use them as often as I should. I think I might end up switching to the index card and baseball card holder method soon because as my collection is growing I'm having a hard time seeing them at a glance which makes me less likely to use them. Yeeessss...the one with the transparent background transferred flawlessly. 😍 I might have to get more of those in my collection because that is the only one I have. LOL. I also like that you can cut certain images out of those ones as well.

I've been to so many beauty supply stores nobody has that transfer glue.. even today I went to three more stores.. no four.. where got the foil from..Beauty World is the biggest beauty supply store in my area.. they have a ton of it.. I talk to the manager today.. he said everybody's been asking for it.. he said they looking for a supplier.. I know this a long comments sorry about that😆... but at least after watching your video I know what kind to get online.. it's so many different kinds .. But I'm super excited still😁 about it.

I have heard that Makartt and iMethod both have good ones but I can't speak on it as I have never tried them. Let me know if you end up trying the Beetles one. I really like the Beetles foils and foil glue but I have also heard great things about the Makartt one. I recently got the Makartt and Young Nails foil glue so I'll be doing a battle of the foil glues soon so see which one is the best. 🙃

Great video What type of lamp do you use? You cured the glue for 2 min. Is that on LED or uv?

Can you please tell me how long do you cure the Beetle glue for Shein ombre (rainbow colors) foils? I saw you have them too. Mine always come out messed up

Sure thing. I found that 60 seconds was the perfect cure time for the Shein foils. And also make sure you take your time and really rub them into the nail. If you start lifting the foil from the nail and the image isn't transferring. Just place it back down and keep rubbing until the image starts to separate from the foil on its own. I hope this helps. Can you also use base and/or top coat to lay the foils?

Hey love! 💕 I would not recommend using base or top coat to apply foils. The foil glue is better because it leaves a sticky layer that allows for the foils to adhere better to the nail. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching. 🥰

Use a Water based top coat,( normal polish) or use a gel top coat- no wipe preferably. Great video though.

That cure time is too long 30 to 45 works wonders w/ all foil gel brands and the transparent foils always work better than the ones that’s not transparent

Yes you are right. I recently played around with the Markartt foil kit and I found that 60 secs was the sweet spot and all the foils transferred beautifully! So I will have to try that with my Beetles foil glue. Thank you for sharing all of your helpful tips and suggestions, it's greatly appreciated! 😊

@@RozeBeauty318 You’re welcome, Some say wiping the non transparent foils w/ alcohol 1st tends to have it transfers better but I haven’t tried it yet 😂 they also have a reverse 🔄 method where you put the foil glue on the foil and cure then apply foil to the nail
