Not really, they used to sweep the battle field strapping dead bodies with with the rifle's knife, and shooting them, then after that they would gather the Bodies and burn them in quantities, it doesn't matter if it's a friend or a foe's body all the same, both parties would come pick up their dead soldiers and burn the bodies cuz it causes black plague, so not only does he get shot at multiple times to make sure everyone is dead but also strapped and then burned, in rare cases where someone would bury himself with a pile of bodies waiting for the right opportunity to escape. No references to go back to, and I'm not sure of the information myself, I hope it's correct if it's not then I would have to give you my apologies, but I presume it's as good as I think it is, cuz it's quite reasonable, I mean leaving the bodies in the open would bring the plague so they had to gather them I guess and burry them, all those things I mentioned above are critical thinking and me making assumptions of what it would've been like.

@@lawrenceweston922 Although I do not agree with the Israel handles the two states situation, I think you are gravely misrepresenting it. Israeli Muslims are Israeli citizens with full citizenship, they can vote and have representatives, they are even part of today's government. The situation is different for Palestinian obviously because they have Palestinian citizenship and are living in different territories, under their own administration. What "extra tax" are you talking about? It is far from perfect for Palestinian people, but there is absolutly no extermination, sporadic or not, contrary to what Nazis did. Nazis went out of their way to displace and slaughter million of Jews (and others). Israel could wipe out the whole Palestinian population in a couple of days but does not want to. The Israeli people that I know have nothing against Palestinian people. I am REALLY not sure that, if the Palestinian people had the military power of Israel, they would show the same restrain.

I was fortunate enough to see this film as well as The Little Black Book and The Grey Zone. All of these films explore the psyche of the human mind when it becomes exposed to inhumane and unfathomable circumstances. The cruelty of the Nazis was not limited to what they did to others but also what they made others do to each other! The monstrous inhuman cruelty displayed during the Fürher's reign was equally matched with acts of divine courage, compassion, decency, mercy and sacrifice. The results of both World Wars should convince even the most arden pessimistic doubter that Good will always triumph over Evil!

Russians found her and she was brutally raped over and over. When her husband found her, she was nothing like before. She had turned into vegetable. Would not and could not respond to anything. Her husband ended up shooting her out of mercy. My mother was born in Prussia. She had to flee from her city. She didn't wanted to leave. A German officer put a gun to her head and told her he would kill her before the Russians got ahold of her. I often wondered if that was the same officer who shot his wife. I asked my mother, but she didn't know. What he told my mom was he didn't wanted the same thing happen to her that happen to his wife.
